I talked to John Sales the owner and operator of Okeechobee Mudfest and he opened up a thread for any questions. http://www.atvflorida.com/forum/index.php/topic,4929.0.html Glass bottles are allowed. Like said before no minors with out adults. REAL adults. There is camping people with generators on one side of the compound and on the other side the rough necks. No Mudding or trail riding after dark. Only camp cruising. (cruising around to other camps checking people out.) Nudity. Up to the persons discretion. Gates do close at 7:00 or 8:00 pm depending on traffic. Swamp buggies, full tracks and any other wheeled mud riding vehicle is allowed except 3 wheelers. No fighting or underage drinking will be tolerated or you WILL be kicked out. MS&G has A security guard. This events got deputy's. This is the one that has been closed for 2 years and now they are back.
I'll be there mrspurelogic and I already have plans. Can't wait!

Bart, how much to rent an RV?
I researched them last week for MS&G...most places have a 3 day minimal rental and it ranged from about $300-$500. I guess not too bad if you have a couple people going in on it. But remember, they usually have you put down a "healthy" deposit as well. :o
ya i'll stick to a $30 tent or my truck.
One thing that MrsPurelogic mentioned but didn't post was the deposit.... Your not leaving the rental shop with out tying up 1200-1500 dollars.
i'll be in my truck most likely.
If we rent one, it's going to cost around a grand... Especially by the time they stick you with $3.00 per hour on the generator..... We are thinking about it, but I am doubting we will do it. I need that money to fix blue after the march MSG and the follow up trip to river ranch.
how big is the ridin area? is mostly deep water or is their good mud riding for atvs ?
I'll be there. The quad is in the shop and the parts for the fan are ordered, so it will be up and running. Might even do the MSG thing again sine MH and Foghat are playing.

I SO CAN'T WAIT. THE ONLY THING IS, IS THAT C & R IS 5 MILES FROM MY HOUSE SO I CAN GET DRUNK AND STAGER HOME. AND MUD FEST IS ABOUT 20 MILES AWAY AND IT IS ON 70. NOT A GOOD ROAD TO BE DRIVING AFTER A FULL DAY OF BEER AND BEADS.
Major set back, bike went to the shop today. The guy said it would take a couple of days to get to it and maybe a week after that to fix it. What am i going to do ??? I'm gonna be heart broke if i can't make it to my first ever mudfest :'( hmm must come up with some kind of plan...
I am also in..... been awhile since we went but are really excited.
Does any one know if there will be wash downs, last time the 70 was so muddy you didn't know where the road was or wasn't......

Team, I know you... There's no way I'd challenge you to mud race... Especially when you're bringin' some kind of contraption with 6 wheels on it! At one time, there was another thread with a lot of people talking smack... My Artic Cat this, My Yamaha that, My honda this, My Polaris that etc,etc. I was just thinking this could be a good "friendly" way to settle some of that smack talkin' since a lot of folks seem to be coming.

What I am looking for is somebody to call Friday night for a report on the conditions. If it is real crowded and a small area for atv's might just leave the atv at home prepare myself for the bead toss.

Ok, Mrs Purelogic, I'm not saying you aren't happy w/ what you have at home but what's wrong w/ looking. They are! I'm all about equal opportunity and think that there should be some scenery for us women, single or not. I'm thinking rather than ring toss since that would be possibly painful for the guys we change it to "Hang the Beads On the Donkeys' Tail." Again another twist on an old favorite.
Ok, unfortunately we have like 3 posts on here for mudfest which has made it quite confusing to keep track of this event. I would like to camp Friday night and I know that Purelogic will be up there to post off some area so we can all camp together. Is there anyone else that will be going Friday night? We need to get in touch so we are all camping in the ATVFlorida area. PM me if you are going for sure.
Purelogic can section off an area and you can be the bulldog Friday night and keep people of fit till more peeps get there Sat. morning. Sounds good to me.

well you can't get lost and you won't miss us i guess. When you come off 70 onto the property you take a shell rock road past the ditch and then across another ditch. When JD and myself were there 2weeks ago they said thats where camping would be. I'm assuming since the gates are only open from 4-7 on friday which the local radio station down here isn't even mentioning the gates being open friday i think it might not be so crowded. Especially since rhinotime and myself are getting there around the same time so we can kinda make an area for camp. It will be hard without a sign to coordinate with everyone but we will make it work. Again i'll be in my silver explorer sport trac i have a friend with a silver dodge ram and hes got a green trailer. Then we have rhino time with a white tahoe pulling a rhino. I'm thinking there won't be many rhinos out there but who knows. We got 2 more days to discuss this.
I know JD is setting up a arctic cat booth but he might be on the camper side. Which i don't know as of yet is at. But i'll be on the tent side with running ac in my tent believe it or not and i have a 6 person tent and theres 3 of us in it so if anyone needs somewhere to crash your more then welcome.

From what I understand only RV's and people who have to travel a long distance will be allowed in friday ....I'm not shure how they will determine a "long "distance .
I should have my arms in today along with the rear bearings so hopefully I'll have my atv out there...I talked to meghan last night about the hotel but i have very limited funds right now so i don't know if i can afford a room when i still need gas, beer, food and more beer. I thought that we (Jimmy, Meghan and Jamie) were all going up tomorrow night I don't know I'll call you later to find out plans...Can't wait it's going to kick ass!!!!

Driving a black and gold montero, back window is white w/ Suncoast Chiropractic written in gator colors. Green wolverine that looks like it has a lift. But it'll stay on the trailer till Saturday.

look at the list above and reduce it by 30%. also there are about half as many from the other site. i'd say 40 on the list and another 20-30 from the other site that aren't on this list. so you do the math. either way there will be alot of ppl out there.

Hey guys and girls. I have been reading the forums for sometime now and have finally registered. I will be attending both days of the mudfest out here in Okeechobee. Would love to hook up and hang out, my Kodiak hasn't been running the best so I most likely cant keep up. I will keep my eyes open for any atvfla stickers.

Ridehigh... Easiest it take the Turnpike north to the Ft. Pierce exit. Hang a left at the redlight right at the exit , this will put you heading west on 70, and go about 20-25 miles... It'll be on the right side of the road.

Instead of going all the way to 70 from the beeline, turn right at 128th St off the Beeline and then left on 70 and it is about 1 mile ;)

We had a blast seeing the old and meeting the new. Would've had alot of pics except we forgot the card for the digicam. The sites were a plenty, but none quite like " the moon over mudfest" that so few of us got to see :o
I had a blast meeting some new faces and seeing many of the old faces. Sorry about forgetting a few of your names and screen names. It'll take me a few rides to remember. Or a few pics w/ names. Cheat sheet for the next ride.
I had a blast. I'm quite enjoying sitting in my bed resting and recovering. Sorry for all the broke bikes. Hope they are ready fort the next group gathering.

I just got home. I'm burnt and exhausted. I had a great time. Sorry everyone i did see faces from the site and didn't introduce myself my fault. But i saw you bart, muddygirl and QT. I hung out with JD trying to find out who came. QT and muddygirl you were there at JDs camp when i was working on my bike. My shifter got stripped out from the shaft so i had to temp. fix it. But next time if i see everyone i'll be sure to say hi.

Sorry I missed most of you. Thanks to Digitalsniper and Bart for trying to help with my bike - just couldnt get the damn thing running right. I did manage to put away a hefty amount of beer though. I'll have better luck next time.
QT-ya we got the shifter back on the honda nice and tight. Then yesterday i had a problem with my bigbear. Sounded like something freely spinning while i would start it. But both ran and I did what i had to do and got plenty dirty. Next time i'll speak up when i see ya.
we had a great time too. mudfest is great, we will be back next time... with new front axles :o ... pics to come.

Had a great time. My buddy and I stayed only for Saturday and by the time we left there was a lot of muddy people. My machines in good shape but I'm a little sore. Trying to hag on to that thing can be a job.
I posted some pictures in th photo section but all have been eliminated except for the first post. Had to post them one at a time. Can anyone explain the rules to me. Mr. Moderator?

Well, I found out why my bike wouldn't start saturday night. Apparently, these things don't like cyliders filled with water. I was in no shape to remember that saturday night. ;D Soemthing is definately wrong with the front diff though... no four wheel drive. When I hit the button, you can hear the solinoid run, but when you hit the gas, something is grinding and the front wheels don't turn. Like the four wheel drive isn't fully engaging... Oh well.. time for a trip to the shop.

Were you driving the Grizzly? I know they have had problems with the front CV joints snapping. It happend with my brothers bike and it luckly got fixed under the warrenty.
Had a awesome time but didn't find anyone from in here...busy getting dirty and breaking stuff. I learned quite a bit though from this:
1. Don't finish a brand new bottle of Grey Goose the night before a long tough ride
2. Make sure you packed the sunscreen!! That was bad the next day, sorry to be such a b***h guys
3. Don't do wheelies coming out of the ditch when your gonna land in another ditch

Ennie that's nice. I'm very much appreciating your humor. I was right there where you were for awhile. I met oneslowex and jalaia (or how ever it's spelled). I was the chick that Len said was his g/f. Ok, we all know I'm not his g/f but I had to joke around w/ him.
I tried to bring the rest of the group over to meet y'all but they got lost. Or lost me....one or the other. I realized myself that drink holders were a good thing. Didn't have many on the back though unless their quads were broke down.
