Not a good idea, you can kill yourself running and if they catch ya you WILL go to jail. Just don't seem worth it. Of coarse I'm old too, but I never did that as a young man.

laugh [smiley=laugh.gif] at you spit you take your bike away and sell it get the money and party with it while you are sitting in jail with big Joe and Moe. be smart stop see what they want and if they give you a ticket its still going to be cheaper then if you run away and they get you.

try crashin into a police...
my friend ran his bike into a cop car
wile lookin back.
he stopped but it wasnt enough and he dented the cops car

since he was 17, and his birthday was a month away,
he gets to go to court on his birthday

Just so you guys aren't confused, I removed the first post of this thread. It takes a real brain surgeon to post for the world to see that they run from the police. The last thing that we want people out there to see us as is people that run from to police.

Do the opposite of running... Go toward the cop and say " I'm glad to see you because...." whatever you can think of at the time. I have gotten out of traffic stops cause I pulled over before the cop even turned on the disco lights or got close (I was not speeding) to my car. I told him I was glad to see him because I needed directions to a gig that I had to work at. He was like "do you know why I stopped you?" Yeah cause my brake light is out... He just gave me the directions that I asked for and that was that.

Either way I would not run from a cop

Well said! We have ran into the police a couple of times and they have always been very nice. I think it helps that we have small children with us. They see we are just having some quality family time, they inform us of anything we need to do and send us on our way. I know that some of the riders on this forum have gotten tickets but they usually deserve it.

well over here one of the main reasons of building up our quads is to get away.not saying we do it all the time but its only illegal if ya get caught!

1st of all guys......if youre driving a car doing rediculous high speeds...you will get a ticket......much less riding a motorized vehicle that is not suppose to be on the roadways...doing the same high speeds......you will get a ticket........i live in Homestead florida guys...and every sunday i ride like 10 miles from my house to get to the humps...i take my time and ride along side the road doing like 12-15 miles an hr....if so fast...i pass so many cops on the way....and they will wave hi or bye........and it all depends who you pissed off that day too.....
