 If you have a plaris,with a digital tach,hr meter.If the tach quits working,pluse the hr meter also. Your cotroll "box" has quit. The fan will come and drain your battery.
When the bike runs it will show HOT CHECK Eng,even if the motor is cold.  The box is under the removeable panel on the frt of the bike,under the head light. It cost apx 200$ from polais,shop around on the net.
A place in ALB had one for apx 130$ hope this will help someone!!!

You have to excuse my dads terrible spelling. What happed was this. I went out to take a ride on it the other day and when I started it the tach was displaying 0 even though the engine was running. Didnt think much about it. So we took a ride and I was gettin winched out allot and the battery light came on. So we decied to go home. Next day it wouldnt start. Not even pull start. So we were fiddilin around with it and unhooked the temp gage that controlls the fan. Then it started but the hot engine light was on even though the engine was cool to the touch. So it turns out the entire brain of the electrical system went out. From polairs they are 200. But a company in Alabama has them for 130. So if your having a related problem then this is probably your problem.
