how much winch??

i got a rancher and i want to put on a warn 2500lb. is the 2500 big enough and how about amp drain ? should i upgrade battery?

I had a 2000lb winch on my 500 foreman and it was plenty of pulling power (2 wheel drive at that)

The warn 2500 is a good one, there's many of them out there.

I keep my engine running when using the winch to keep maximum voltage. Stock battery works fine.

Low voltage burns things up faster than high.
