1  General / Racing Scene / Update on #21 injury on: August 27, 2008, 07:39:31 PM
Hey all,
Just wanted to give everyone a shout and say thank you for your concern, thoughts and prayers and let you all know that Chris is doing pretty good and is going to be ok.   For those of you who don't know, he fractured his back (T11 and T12) during practice at Loretta Lynn's, the last national race.  Was a great first year but not quite the finish we planned on Sad
Doctors originally wanted us to consider a newer procedure where they can restore the lost height and immediately decompress and stabilize the fracture but the surgeon said No, No, NO, was NOT necessary, so again, we were thankful!! Smiley  Instead, we were given the standard "6-8 weeks with the back brace and extremely limited activities.....monitor the fractures and complete healing".  So, Chris is about 2 1/2 weeks into the healing and going crazy already, lol!  What to do?

Anyway, thanks again for your thoughts and prayers - keep 'em coming for a speedy and full recovery!
Julie

5  General / Racing Scene / Re: Leatt Device-IT WORKS! ! ! ! ! on: February 04, 2008, 04:19:04 PM
The Leatt's not even that expensive..$400...big deal..a helmets gonna run you around 250,give or take, and i dont see anyone complain when it comes to buying a helmet.if you can afford to buy race/aftermarket parts for your bike, why dont you buy aftermarket parts for your body and safety?
i bought one..and cant wait to ride with it
6  General / Open Discussion / Re: quad magazine on: January 22, 2008, 06:30:20 PM

7  General / Tech Corner / Re: YFZ problem on: December 30, 2007, 02:45:07 AM
thanks...i figured it out tho..it was a bad positive battery connection that cause the breakin up of the motor and the battery didnt have enough charge to run an aftermarket cdi, cause the require more juice from the battery over a stock cdi..and the fan had a short somewhere(not sure where) so we just wired it so that it turns on all the time....n shes runnin like a champ  Grin...................so far lol  Roll Eyes
8  General / Tech Corner / Re: YFZ problem on: December 28, 2007, 11:56:17 PM
i swapped the stators and the fan still turns on when i pull the clutch in and it wont fire in neutral, unless i have the clutch pulled in....?
9  General / Tech Corner / Re: YFZ problem on: December 26, 2007, 08:22:41 PM
the wires were already cut at the throttle when i bought the bike...

and i have the sparks tps plug..so only one of connectors at the carb get connected n the other gets the sparks tps(throttle positioning sensor) plug thing...

the only thing i did different from before i put the motor in...was now it has an 06 bottom end and stator and etc..and it ran totally fine with not one problem when i had a complete 04 motor in the bike(meaning it had a 04 bottom end)
10  General / Tech Corner / Re: YFZ problem on: December 26, 2007, 04:52:15 PM
what you said is correct..but the 2 wires coming from the stator..one is a female and the other is male...so when i connect them to the wirring harness on the bike i cant get them mixed?
11  General / Tech Corner / YFZ problem on: December 26, 2007, 04:07:26 PM
I took my 04 top end and put it on my 06 bottom end..then the only wires i connect back are the neutral plug and the wires coming from the stator, along with the battery to the starter wires..oh n the wires for the carb. Now when the key is on the bikes in neurtal the bike wont turn over unless i pull the clutch in..also with the clutch in the fan turns on..?

Also when i turn the bike over it wont fire with a aftermarket cdi..but with a stock it fires first start....but i dont get more then 1/4 throttle, if that, before it breaks up reallly really bad...it sounds like a drag car with a computer in it to delay the the cylinders when your sittin at the light...

My guess was mabye timming was messed up or mabye the stator? or does the 06 bottom end not connect correctly with an 04 wire harness?

Any help Huh thanks guys

13  General / Where to Ride? / Re: AMP Xtreme in Live Oak is back open! on: December 04, 2007, 04:35:19 PM
Amp Xtreme is well worth the 20 a day to practice all day..that track is top notch and well takin care of, id rather go there over any other track in florida..and im about 5 hours away..plus the only way a new track like this can grow is if we help support them by riding there and doin whatever it is that we can to help...but this is just my opinion

i have 8K HIDS and there the best thing ive bought for my truck..there white/blue but more white and there really bright, they make everything reflect awsome..my friend has 10K's in his truck and they are no lie straight purple..n my other friend has 12Ks and they are Blue like cop lights..in my opinion 8Ks are the best..and im pretty sure they are Xenon brand..im pretty sure i cant remember..and they cost 250 with a 1 year warranty
17  General / Group Rides & Events / Re: Countyline MX 8/25 on: August 29, 2007, 04:10:21 PM
ltr450 that pic was what it looked like if u went off the track..it actually turned out to be a good weekend for the race at seminole..they drained the track very very well and groomed it sunday morning..it was only slippery for the practice before the races..
18  General / Group Rides & Events / Re: Seminole Sat 8/18 on: August 20, 2007, 04:52:48 PM
l cross is not worth the drive if you live in miami(in my opinion)..especially when you can go to seminole...l cross is about the same size as seminoles SX track, and the track gets rutted really easy and it gets really bad.but its not that bad if you got the balls and power out of the corner to just jump everything.Im pretty sure the trails are open but i didnt ask or see for sure..that guy has so much land i dont understand why he would make a mx track so small when he could of made a huge one and he'd get a huge turn out of people to ride it?
19  General / Racing Scene / Re: Anyone going to L-CROSS track 8-12? on: August 08, 2007, 09:06:20 PM
ill mostlikely be there sunday...it'll be my first time there...i hope its worth it
20  General / Photo Gallery & Videos / Re: countyline mx, aka miami mx park on: July 17, 2007, 08:44:15 PM
yea i rode the sx at seminole the first time they had it open and it sucks..theres a set of whoops that are serious (like u see on espn) and theres still that front triple still but the whole track is backwards and theres like 2 or 3 doubles i think and the rest is like basically tables...n it was soo rutted..but they say it should get better after they make a few adjustments
21  General / Group Rides & Events / Re: Pax trax 7-14 & 15th on: July 13, 2007, 06:50:54 PM
me and a buddy will probably be there for practice on sunday...it'll be my first time ridin again since 4 months  Grin
22  General / Tech Corner / Valve job on: June 25, 2007, 12:09:15 PM
I have a 06yfz and my exhaust valves are leaking.. i just need it cleaned up and reseated..and do you need to do the intake as well? where can i get it done that wont take a month and that wont cost me a million dollars? thanks
23  General / Racing Scene / Re: Most race ready 450??? on: June 25, 2007, 12:04:23 PM
according to the august 2007 dirtwheels magazine the yfz450 Grin is the winner of the 450 shootout..they included the likes and dislikes for each 450(the kawi, suzuki, honda, and yamaha)..the kawi comes with the most hp out of the box with 40 and the others were all around 39 i think
