General / Open Discussion / Polaris Sportsman X2 Question
|
on: July 02, 2012, 06:42:45 PM
|
I have an 08 Sportsman 500 X2, and am curious if anyone can tell me where i can find accessories that mount onto the track rails that are mounted on the front lid and in the rear dump bed ??
I would like to mount a gun rack on the front lid, as well as some type of storage boxes in the dump bed for tools, straps, etc..
I can post a picture of the track rails if need be..

It is an 03 with 115,000 miles on it.. Ive been running the SCT with DP 80 Hp Econo Tune since the day i bought it with 72,000 miles on it.. Havent had a single problem..
Truck has 5" MBRP Turbo Back exhaust, and the tuner at current time.. Id like to add intake, but I work in a very sandy area, and dont think the intake is a good idea at current time..
One person told me to go with the SCT tunes, another told me to stick with the DP tunes..
Figured id get some input from other people..

I need to get a new tuner for my truck, and plan on going with the SCT line of scan tool, but am wanting to know which company has better tunes.. DP Tuner or SCT ??
I had a SCT with DP Tunes, but the SCT tool broke, so now i must have the truck flashed and then get the new tuner..

The Kawasaki is a 2003 Prairie 360 4x4 Polaris is 2004 ATP 500 4x4
The Kawasaki has 26-12x12 ITP Mudlites all the way around and the Polaris has 25-9x12 front and 25-12x12 on the rear..
From what i have read, i thought the spacers were a heck of a good idea, to give it a wider stance..
I am trying to sell the Kawasaki, but really want the rims and tires for my Polaris.. So i was going to this..
The Polaris would mainly get used out at the JetPort and occassionally in Big Cypress..

General / Open Discussion / Aluminum Awning / Carport

I am thinking about installing a aluminum awning / carport.. 10 ft by 13 ft.. About 8 ft tall ( against the house down to about 7 ft along the fence ) to allow water runoff..
Does anyone from on the site here, do this type of work.. Figure try to help out a fellow rider, before calling up some commercial company, and giving them the $$..
With the way the economy is, i figure someone can make some extra $$ on the side..

I bought one from my dads co-worker in about 99-00, had it until some scum bags broke into my buddys place and stole 4 of our 5 ATC's in June 2005..
Thats when i decided to buy a quad.. I miss the 3 wheelers though..
I was just looking into these Auto Clutch conversions.. Might be a good alternative !!
They even make em for Harley's... Find out stuff i never knew existed

I used to have a Honda 185s ATC and it had a manual transmission but with built in clutch, you would just release the throttle and shift..
I am looking at getting an Enduro bike ( something like the Honda XR650L ) and was just wondering if this bike has the same type of transmission or if it is a standard "clutch"..

Kahr 40cal I am not much on pistols. I asked for one that my wife could shoot (she has a small hand) I was looking at the 9mm but the guy said he has seen someone get shot with a 9mm and still come at you so he suggested a 40cal. She has done very well shooting it! I hate to say it but her patterns were a lot better than mine. Anyway thats what we carry. Someone still come at you after being shot with a 9mm ?? FUNNY.. Obviously they werent good shots and you didnt empty the mag.. Personally i HATE the 40.. I would rather shoot a 45... But that is just me.. Every agency that shoots at my job, that has the 40, does not like it, and they only shoot it to qualify, it is a brutal round.. Tony *Medley Police Range RDO *

Big Daddy,
People are crazy to sell guns or ammo from there "personal" collection..
Now if you are buying low, with intention to resell, and sell high.. Why not..
I have flipped quite a few items and came out 300% + ahead..
I still got a bunch of that ammo from my job, but nothing in "low recoil" 12 ga.. Let me know how that magnum stuff went..

Bushwacker, your best bet is to get a bill of sale, with the sellers name and identifying detail, such as drivers license #, with make, model, serial # of firearm, signed over to you the buyer, with your DL #..
This way if anything ever comes up, you show the bill of sale, and they can go back to the seller if need be..
