Quote from: bocephus300 on May 12, 2009, 08:26:50 PMThat's why I tossed the idea after checking into it. Glad to hear it worked out in the end though.

QuoteAuthorities said the couple fired after they mistakenly thought the group was trespassing on their property.
Bishop said the area includes a dirt road, trees and overgrown brush and that it wasn't uncommon for people to go off-roading there. The Houston Chronicle reported that a sign in front of the suspects' home reads: "Trespassers will be shot. Survivers will be reshot!! Smile I will."
Liberty County Chief Deputy Ken DeFoor said Sheila Muhs fired a 12-gauge shotgun once, then handed it to her husband, who also fired once.
DeFoor said Sheila Muhs then called 911 and told the dispatcher: "They're out here tearing up the levee, so I shot them."
Quote from: AMX CREW on May 11, 2009, 11:56:42 AMThat's not even close to a Yamaha Warrior, Warrior's don't have racks, the fenders are not close to the style either.
It looks like a yamaha warrior !!!
Quote from: mikeE36 on April 29, 2009, 03:08:51 PMTry this site, you may have to compare the part by sight but at least you have an area to start withQuote from: Justardnck on April 17, 2009, 07:39:31 AM
Honda, Yamaha, Kawi, Suzuki.... they would all have a cover or something with their name stamped in them. My guess is it's one of those Pep-boys (or some other) variation of a Chinese quad. Problem with those is parts, even though parts are obtainable online there will certainly be an instance where you need something hard to find.
I have seen very few chain drive quads with racks on them, Yamaha had the Wolverine but I don't know what other brands had.
yeah still stumped. its so weird the name isnt on anything. We need a new hub for the wheel because for some reason on this stupid thing the wheel bearing and hub connect to the wheel itself not on the axel.
Quote from: RedPred05 on April 27, 2009, 05:29:20 PMNever rode it but Hardrock was a really fun place to crash
How would you rate this place? Which is more fun Bostwick or Hardrock? I am really more interested in the 4 miles of trails and was curious if anybody has rode them this year. Thanks
I can't wait to go backQuote from: Anoriginal on April 24, 2009, 08:28:14 AMI was talking about the mid 90's, I don't trespass when I ride now... I own where I ride
Yeah, isn't that just awesome?!!! A bunch of ATV riders running from the cops on while trespassing!!!
That makes us look so smart and soooooooo good.![]()
Quote from: shogun323 on April 24, 2009, 07:13:57 AMThat is the way I understood it too, I was told that you could only put a camp up where the RRPOA told you too. I was never a fan of that but I understand why they did itQuote from: digginfool on April 23, 2009, 04:13:11 PM
I called the guy because that camp is near mine. Unfortunately, he does not own the land the camp is on so you would be at the mercy of anybody who claimed the land and from what I've heard, there's a lot of that going on these days. People are taking the time and effort to determine precisely where their land is and if it's in the camping area, they are running people off. This past Saturday, I met a guy at the swimming hole who had just been kicked off his camp site. He said it was no big deal since it turned out his deeded land was in the camp area anyways, but just the same, he yanked his well casing out of the ground as a farewell, go to hell, gesture.
So if I understand you correctly people are having their parcel surveyed and if someone else already has an established camp there they are being run off? It was my understanding that the RRPOA was assigning campsites for those with a full 1.25 acre deed.

Quote from: Anoriginal on April 20, 2009, 10:15:14 AMOh I know... but it is gear to them, it's part of how they define themselves and their riding style even though it poses no safety other than surviving a biker bar. Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending them I thought I'd ad a little perspective.Quote from: Justardnck on April 20, 2009, 09:54:19 AMQuote from: Anoriginal on April 20, 2009, 08:49:24 AMActually I don't think it's ridiculous, it's the "gear" they feel goes with the package. When I cycle I wear the silly shorts and loud shirt but they are par for the course, the loud shirt is for visual safety and the shorts assist in movement and safety. When I ride sport quad I wear the pants, jersey, helmet and sometimes the chest protector. I'm sure when I'm in sport quad gear at a riding spot that's not a race people prob think I look like I'm trying to be somebody but the reality is the gear is a safety and comfort issue so I guess it's all relevant. I do see everybody's point though, Harley Davidson seems to be an attitude more than an American icon.
My favorite is the typical wanna be that wears the light blue denim sleeveless shirt so that he cab show off his "guns" [sic] and the lame barbed wire or Aztec tattoo around his lacking bicep.
Do you think these guys have event he slightest clue of how ridiculously funny they are to the rest of us?
The "gear" they wear isn't for safety. No sleeves, no helmet, cheesy shades...etc. It's "gear" to help personify their total douchebaggery.
