yeah i talked to a few mechanics and they told me i need a set, just one side wont cut it. i found a complete case, new for $370 www.leesin.com . thats not a bad price... almost half compared to everywhere else.

its ok i can do custom. my hitch rack was built not bought. i was talkin about the bed extender thing. i saw the link to harbor frieght. i could buy that and with a little cuttin and welding id have it. u came up with a hell of a set up tho. i never have room b/c of my tool box, plus a cooler and gas. i like the idea.

i used soap and water. i mixed soap and water in a spray bottle and started my bike and sprayed around all the seals. if it makes bubbles, u got bad seals.

nope no luck. both sides only

mine did this but my crank seals were bad. i was losing compression so i was losing power. it couldnt burn the fuel i was dumping in the carb. it was running like trash even with new complete top end rebuild. i dont know if this is your problem but i was having similar problems and it was b/c of my crank seals.

if it started the truck before and now its not it prolly shoulda been shimmed. pull the starter and look at the gear on the starter and the teeth on the fly wheel. check the gears on both, see if the fly wheel and starter has any bent teeth or bad wear. a friend of mine went through the same thing. the gears were just rounding off because it wasnt shimmed. if the fly wheel is too small, get the right starter which is prolly expensive, or pull the motor and change the fly wheel (prolly more time comsuming but cheaper).

thats what i thought. i figured he was either b.s.in' me or he thinks he knows more than he really does. i might have to buy a full crank case anyway b/c i cant find just the left side. im gonna keep looking before i do that tho. i can get a new complete case for $369 but i would rather spend less...

the left side case on my ltz is cracked....bad. is ok to get another used case (just the leftside) and use it with my right side case??? someone told me it wasnt good on the bottom end. i dont know if its true or if he just said that so i would buy both sides. i would think if i changed all the bearings in both side it would be ok, right???
