i can't make it that weekend, i have a dog show....the family weekend....to be honest with ya, us Florida Boys (me included, me mostly) got the trash talking to personal and it is not something that my fiancee enjoys anymore....I am trying to convince her that it is not as bad as it used to be and it is more fun now, so she might be making a trip to GA soon...Yeah I need a chance to redeem myself, cause my driving skills were not on until the 4.60 index class...guess that is what you would have to expect for not riding in 6 months...we will get er done somehow at the next race...
I am sure it has been asked before but I am going to ask it again. what is the break down of classes. I need to know to see if it is worth bringing my bike

HAHA No actually figured since we pretty much saw what mine would do on a stock chassis we figured we would take it and change chassis to see the difference. That's it, so we will see! ;D Looks pretty sweet though huh! Quite a bit of work though but I think it will pay off ;)

Jason the bike will be a little over a hundred pounds lighter than it was last month.. So that should be good enough for at least an extra 10th. If so that will put us in the 3.8's.. I hear drag chassis are worth 1 to 2 10ths.. We will see..

A stock Banshee is around 397lbs. Thats what we were running last month.. As far as frame and all. This bike is no more than 260 at the most race ready..We will see guys...

Yeh Jeff, One thing about Dan is he doesn't take cards and is very hard to get a hold of. Especially now with planet sand coming up he will be imposible to get a hold of ??? THANKS Catman for the props. N ot bad on that stock frame you boys was riding that thing like ya stole it fourth gear straight up 12:oo clock. No smoke its on a small cheetah motor. ;) couldnt keep it straight the track was in preety ruff shape andthe bike had a few bugs but it is scarey riding that baby it halls ass hope to see some low 380.s tonight .AND by the way iam still papas jockey till the end. ;D

I think we had the bike to beat but of course it had to rain out again. Good seeing all yall, Kirby, Banshee "steakslayer" Boy, Andy "underpressure".....boy he was underpressure trying to finish his steak too, And everyone else we saw tonight. Those were the biggest steaks I've ever seen served at a resturant. everyone of them was at least 20 - 24 oz each. even the smalls. CRAZY ??? ???
Hope to see yall at waycross! Looks like we're gonna try to make it and start going there to see what this bike will do. Are you aloud to run your bike if it's over 550 cc there ??? ??? ;) Must have really sucked to have to ride 12hrs and be told you couldn't put your bike on the track even to see what it would run. I guess they like to keep that track for locals only! but that's ok if we know that before making the trip. We usually bring a crowd sometimes small sometimes big and I'm sure another track would be glad to take our money.
I've been into drag racing for a while whether cars or bikes and from my experience it's the real fast stuff that draws the spectator crowd, whether it's a race or an exibition run to see how fast you can go! That's what people want to see not only to see a bunch of stock bikes racing, you can see that anywhere. Do you go to a NHRA race to see a bunch of Yugos racing. ???
For someone to build a $20,000 DRAG BIKE and drive 24Hrs round trip and go to a DRAG TRACK and be turned away even if it is just to TNT cause theres no one to race is F 'ing crazy but not only that but a huge blow to the sport thats trying to grow! Am I blowing this out of proportion?????

man that track record would have gone bye bye. i would like to think tony first for letting all us guy stay at his house when we couldnt find a room. frank and lupo you two are the best. you couldnt have treated us any better than you did. far has the track goes, well lets just say"dont be scared" :o man i would have loved to see that thing run. it was running strong at tonys. the carbs were just perfect, just needed 2 or 3 passes to tune the power jets. i think tony was alot mad when they told him he could run for the track record

What went on at Hazelhurst Saturday day was bullsh!t!! Jeff, I have nothing to do with what the Hazelhurst crew does. But was totally embarressed by there actions and treatment of you, your bike and your gang that you brought with you.. The last time we all went and got rained out, I remember they said there was a record number of bikes there that nite.. Could that have been the fact that the whole Fla came up and brought about 35 to 40 bikes that day??? Those days are over!!! They can do what they want with there track, They can make there rules as they go along.. Cause this Fla boy is done with Hazelhurst. We could not have raced Saturday. I know that. The weather turned bad. But the weather was fine and test and tune had only been going on for about a 1/2 hour. When 535 banshee pulled up to stage for a test and tune pass Test and tune was shut down!!! That was chicken sh!t!! The track record is safe. Unless someone in there own little click has a chance at it.. Im calling out to all Fla guys!! Lets give Waycross our money.. The tribals had a nice visit and talk with someone in the know. They ask us to come to Waycross and give it a try.. that we would all be welcome and treated no different than the Ga. guys. And this post is not about Fla. vs Ga. I happen to have develope some pretty D@mn good friendships with the Ga. guys. And think they are all awesome!!!! With the exceptions of some Hazelhurts track officails.. So untill Hardrock is up and running what do you say guys?? Lets give Waycross a go!!!! Im sure they will appreciate us spending our hard earned money and time to come and race with them.. No problem Jeff. Like I said I would have signed up in your class. Whats $25 when you probably spent $150 just in fuel to get there. Would have been the least I could have done. Come to find out my clutch was pretty fried. We probably would have only been able to make a few passes anyway before something let loose. Oh well thanks to every one that helped get my ajuster nut out of the motor. That was a blast! ::) We will see ya soon!

Well we got in about 3:30 PM and it was a long drive about 8 hrs and I am tired. I am no way going to Hazlehurst ever again I guaranty that! I didn't go up to race. I went to watch Jeff/Tony try to get the track record. My bike is down and will be up in running this week. Who goes to a drag race to watch stock looking bikes race with stock motors. We want to see THE BIG DOGS race. The fast guys. I will tell everyone I know not to go to Hazlehurst. They will never see S.W. Florida bikes ever again. Well I'm sorry I am venting but its better here so everyone knows how I feel. Hopefully Hardrock or Seminoles will be open. I might take a trip to Waycross. Not 100% sure. Hey Tony I hope that weld holds up on that pipe.
Well guys sorry about the rain. It would have been a blast like always. As of Carl not wanting us to run the big bike he said we could run but he said we had no one to run with. When we wanted to make a few passes to see if the bike was tuned they shut pratice down before five o-clock and that was right when I was going to make one pass. Its almost impossible for 40 to 80 bikes to make one pass in an hour and that is why we have test n tune on Thursdays, but guys coming from very long distance and out of state should be the first to get some passes in on Saturdays. The bikes that come on Thursdays shouldn't need to make pass after pass on Saturdays. I think there needs to be two lanes during test n tune, you make one pass come back and get back in line. There are several guys that get more passes than others b/c they jump in line. Traffic should not be coming from all different directions, needs to be better organized so everyone gets a fair chance to make a pass. Also its dangerous to run these big outlaw bikes after everyone has made passes on the track. The track needs to be smoothed back out before we have to run the outlaws. Glad everyone came and hope that you guys come back, hopefully the track officals will work on some things for next race and every thing will work out better for us next time. Just my 2 cents.

guys just got home from daytona 500...weather sucked there too, but lorri and i stuck it out till the end...let me tell you guys this one thing...when i was putting the drags on at saltsdale there is one thing that i made sure...ga guys, ft. myers guys, ortona crew, etc was all treated with the same respect as the locals, and when it came to practice runs, they were always given a little more time, because they were not accustomed to our settings...that is how a program should be run if you ask me...we had problems the first time we went up there to hazelhurst about not getting any practice runs...troy and i finally got one, after complaining...sure hate it that you guys got that kind of treatment up there...i am not in this drag race scene that much anymore, but i am down with anything you guys figure out...
jeff, i guess if they want to run with the big dogs, then they will have to get out of the dog house, huh???

Smoke, you always did a GREAT job when you ran the drags. Ron also was a good guy and kept the lights running. I miss those days.
man that is messed up! the people that run the track have not treated the wayne county crew very well either! when we outran them they protested us! of coarse they found a scratch in 1 of the intakes??????when they was running 4.60's on a stock bike we protested them? even though the cylinders had been resleaved, all ports matched, no tellings what else was done inside, would not even let us see the crank??? but they was ok? grey area my a$$! we are tired of it too! not going to say we will not go back cause we would love to beat them, track record and all! waycross is close too, so we will go there everytime it is open! sorry again fla guys, hope this does not affect catman and his crew! see ya'll in wayx!

Guys if you would stop and think for a minute that what happenend Sat night was not our fault but mother natures fault. far as test -n-tune goes it starts at 4:00 goes until 5:00 yes it was cut short by just a few minutes .the only reason was because of the weather.we were trying to get started before the rain moved in, not because of who was fixing to test-n-tune. far as the outlaw bike that was 551 and up yes we were going to let the bike run. we were all interested seeing what times the bike was going to turn. far as the track record we would like to see it broke, no matter who breaks it. but, to get a track record you must have someone to race. if the rain would have held off outlaw bikes were going to run first. We are sorry that no one got to run, not even the ga boys. for the ones that had to drive so far we are sorry that you felt we were unfair to all of you.but like i said no one got to run due to the rain. we do appericate your business and we can only hope that in the future you do return to race. but to set the record straight: I was asked if the bike could run for the record without having somebody to run, I said no., that the bike had to be running in a race to get the record. I was asked if you could just run the bike for a time i said yes.
We were told the reason that yall left was because we would not let the little boy run in the outlaw class. I don't really know how to address that. the only thing i know to do is anyone in the outlaw class has to have a valid drivers licenses.

Thats not just my rule. All the tracks i have been to thats the rule. Also here we haven't made anyone backup the run with another of the same time, but all the other tracks i have been to do that.

well carl i think the problem is you run your test and tune like a free for all and some poeple go as many times as they can most tracks run a test and tune by class and give each class two or three time runs and then go to racing as far as what happened with jeff i was not there and only here part of the story but you new he was coming for one thing and one thing only to smash the track record and when he got there was told he could not run no track in the world makes you have to race any one to set a track record but to say he can not run befor the rain and that you where gunna let him him make run after you rained it out is just plane wrong i think if you want TO MAKE THIS RIGHT YOU INVITE HIM BACK WITH NO ENTREE FEE JUST TO SEE IF HE CAN SMASH THE TRACK RECORD

as far as the track record goes. you must be in a race to set the record. that is how it is at every track that i have ever been.and i have broken the track record plenty of times during tnt and it not count at hazelhurst. its only fair to do it like that . and im sure that the hazel. crew would like to see the record broken, not saying ive never seen so shady things go on there, but its not a reason for everyone to just get pissed off and quit going because one person doesnt get a chance to make a pass. and 535 for u to say that u had the record would have been yours is a mighty bold statement to make when u have never made a pass down a track that u have never been to. not tryin to bust your balls or nothing but its not that damn easy. not tring to piss any one off by no means but would like to see everyone at all the tracks regardless of where it is. so cant we all just get along ---Rick Farmer

Take a little more time reading threw some of the post. I never said anything bad about the track. I only replied to your post after comming one here and calling everyone from this site a bunch of cry babbies.
There are a lot of great people/racers on this site that might want to go back to Haz to race and I thought out of respect for the RACERS I would remove the post to keep the fuel of the fire.

I think everyone needs to calm down. Alot of things have been said that probably shouldn't have been said. And Im as guilty as anyone. I have always stated that we have a good time in hazelhurst. That wont change. I have nothing but respect for Carl and his crew. Its takes a lot of time and hard work, Not to mention a lot of money to put the races on every month.. And personally the people I have met there have been great. I made a lot of good friends there. At least I think I have. I think What happened last Saturday Nite was due to a simple misunderstanding.. After sitting back for a couple days and reading and watching what has been going on here, I think it needs to end now. 341dirtdrags will not stop racing because Fla. racers quit going. It was there before us and will be there long after us. Jeff! Carl has offered to let you in free if you come back. I think thats fair.. I know it cost you alot to go there. But it does us to. And I can say I have been like 6 of the last 7 months. And it cost me alone 450.00 to 500.00 dollars each time. I lose a days pay on top of other money spent on gas,food, drinks and whatever. So come on guys lets forget all this bullsh!t and get back to having some fun OK??? OH!! I almost forgot. If you have children and wifes you may not want them to read the following!!! weve parked about half way down at the track most races i dont know alot of ur names but i see alot of what goes on cause i like to hang around up at the start line and stay close to my friends,i'm older than most of them though.if i figure out hu u r i'll introduce myself ,maybe.my work schedule dont always let me be there

16 do run 3.50's and 3.60's ssr has 16's that run that all day long. this is in sand drags. there is a triple that run in the 3.40's. bye the way my bike would have not broke the track record the first time. drained the carbs and found the main jet in the float bowl cap. that thing would have run like sh*t with one main jet in and one out
i think these times can be ran, it's just going to take some good passes and a good TRACK?? ;) everyone knows, u can have the biggest engine in the world but if u can't put it to the dirt, the times will not be there! ;) i think its time to break the record, so don't give up!

you are right it is a bold statement, but if you dont look at everything you do has a positive, you wll never go any where. i have been racing a long time and i always go the to track thinking i am the best. name one racer that doesnt think this way. i had a 500 perdator that i flat tracked and everyone said i wouldnt do go. i went out for the first time and got second place. i never finished out of the top three with this bike. showed alot of banshees and 330r up. its all in your setup and your will to win. its is bold but i will prove it.

its alot differnt that drag racing thats for sure.. being 2ft frme the guy in front of you running 50 mph can get a lillle spookey when the guy in front you you gets loose. chest protectors are a must or you will go home black and blue. BTW i have ran 18 flattrack races that are 3-4 heats of 9 laps and the A MAIN of 15 laps and also have drag raced the same 4mm cub motor. I pulled it apart and everything looks new.. those cylinders are amazing! and people said they were reliable! the cool thing is the flat track is right next to hard rock! talk about a full day of racing!
