Ok now that I got your attention.  Of course she can't ride it alone.  No opposable thumbs. But here's the story.

I went out to North Port last night to camp and ride.  Decided to take my dog she's been acting needy lately.  For those of you that haven't met Molly she's a real chicken dog and princess.  Or so I thought.

I got out there and after 15-30 minutes had taught her to load up on the quad.  Took off her off for her first ride.  Wish I had pics, it was funny.  She rode in front of me w/ her paws stratling the gas tank.  Did several trips down a flat path then headed out for the trail.  Rode for the most part in 1-3rd gear and slow over the whoops.  She ended up getting so comfortable after 5 hours of riding that she was laying down w/ her front paws resting over the handle bars or she'd kind of lay on my lap.  By the way she's a 60+lb short hair collie so I'm not talking about some little dog.

We ended up getting into a small mudhole and almost got stuck.  So I got off the quad.  Tried to keep 'princess' on the quad.  Never thought my dog would jump off into the mud and water.  Boy was I wrong.  See even my dog knows that when you're stuck you have to get off the quad.  She jumped in and was covered in muck up to her chest and waded her way out and waited for me to get the quad unstuck.

As soon as I got it on dry ground she jumped back on and was like ok now where we gonna go.  All I have to say is load up and she's all about goin' for a ride.  I can't make it on this kids trip ride but I think on another I'm bringing my furry redneck kid.  Formerly the dog known as princess.

Only bad part was she rolled in something that smelled worse than you can even imagine.  So rather than camp I had to get both our muddy stinky butts home and in a bath.  So 6am we finally got home and cleaned up.  May have to give her another bath to get what ever dead she rolled in out.

I really wish I had pics to go w/ this story.  It was quite funny.

IJ always says our dog is smart.  But it fights with skunks and rolls in deer poo.  Tomato juice.   I am glad you got to take you best buddy riding with you.

lol gery, those cow patties hide everywhere at area51. I think we need to have a giant atv game out there where you try to spray each other with cow patties, lol.  Might be kinda dangerous, but fun!

At a buddies ranch my dad i go to theres "cow patties" all over the property and my buddy was behind me, and i ran the cow pie right over and it was flung straight into his face.  It was pretty funny.

I was trying to bring a smile to ppls faces not make them sick.

Very cute picture there Big Daddy......QT you should have taken pictures!!  Pretty soon we're going to have a whole family of atv pets.  Swamprat brought Ricky on our last ride and we brought Sam....they got along great....even though Ricky stole a treat right from Sam's mouth  Boxer  Then again, if someone twice my size took something out of my mouth....I'd probably surrender too  Embarrassed

Glad you had fun QT...

Great pic.  I'm sure that dog is alot more graceful than mine is on a quad.  She sat in front of me like a 2yo w/ her legs sometimes strattling the seat.  Crazy dogs....gotta love them.

I'll be sure to take pics next time.  We had fun w/ our little get away.  Ok, now since we have pets that ride do we need to start a pet ride?

Mikes dog does the same kind of thing to Molly w/ the bones.  There'll be like 3 big bones on the floor and he'll run around and have all of them in his mouth to keep her from getting any.

Well, it's not my camp so I can't bring her next weekend.  Have to do it another time.  If I had an RV w/ air I'd bring her all the time.  So she could ride some and still have AC.  Until then she won't be out much.

It's not illegal if you ride in the right areas.

Like scrub said.  It's not illegal if you know where to ride.  And I happen to know where to ride.  Cops never give tickets out there unless you are riding on private property.  I know where that's located and stay away.  Also they'll give tickets for riding on the road.  I don't ride on the road.
