starter troubles

recently the starter on my 2000? 325 magnum was replaced. we rehooked the starter and it spins but wont turn the engine over or anything. You can pull start it though. Any help with this? not sure what to do..

did you reinstall the old pendix, and if you did, are you sure that it is engaging?
