Question about jumping.

Well, as most of you know I just made a big leap from a 250ex to a z400. When I used to jump my 250 it was just go balls out and hope you make it, But now with my z400 it kinda starts to stall in the air because of the clutch. Kinda like when you let of the gas and come to a stop and it starts to sputter then stall. Well here is my question, what must I do to keep it from stalling or almost stalling in the air? I was thinking reving it, or holding in the clutch but that doesn't sound to good for it

Wow I dont no why the quad would be dying. However jumping is all physics. when your in the air if the nose of the quad is dropping you give it more throttle that will bring the nose back up. And if the nose is to high you get on the rear brakes and that will bring the nose down.

i like to keep my idle up a little to stop be from stalling in the turns this should help. just adjust the idle screw.

Any more advice

The idle seems to be kinda working, But im scared it may be kinda bad for it.

my freind at the track has a z and does the same thing doesnt mess anything up.

Holding in the clutch in the air won't do no harm to the bike at all just make sure you don't nosedive...

Rev your throttle in the air and your nose will come up a bit...putting you in good position to land as you want your rear tires to come down slightly before your front.

You can feather the clutch in the air to try to keep from stalling as well.

It sounds odd that your bike would sputter in the air when your wheels should be spinning freely off the jump.

maybe you are taking the jump in too high of a gear and lugging the engine. try dropping down one gear and reving out that gear a little longer, with the high revs it should not sputter or die out. just my OPINION.
