It is not officially in the Phase I Trail area, however the USFS is getting it included.  What you can not do is ride east of the powerlines.  This is FR 88 and Putham County Sheriff's are not only ticketing but impounding your vehicle.  Park where you normally park, go straight east (on the marked trail) and enter the pit from the west side.
