If you have a 2005 and later Mustang take heed...especially If your vehicle sits outside. you will over time develope a water leak(flooding) on the passenger floor due to decomposition of leaves and debris trapped in the cowl vent drains. These drains are rubber inserts on both the driver and passenger side of the cowling area. If you open the hood and look parrallel with the valve cover next the battery on the firewall. You will see the Rubber hanging down from the cowl (Please do this when the engine is cold or cool to the touch as burn potential is extremely probable other wise..) The drivers side drain is far easier to locate...again looking parrallel to the drives side valve cover to the firewall look for the petruding rubber under the cowl. Now that you have located these drains firmly grab the rubber end and pull the drain out, discard or modify to prevent debris entrapment. Debris is no a manufactures defect so warranty in this area will be difficult to obtain depending on your dealership Consider this a public service message from your friendly neighborhood FORD guy,
I may not be smokey the bear but "Only you can prevent flooding in your vehicle."
