1  General / Where to Ride? / Re: Plant Bamboo on: January 03, 2010, 12:41:00 PM
We have a camp at Bamboo and I have to agree with Matt on the cow thing. NOBODY wants to ride in DEAD COW water. I know Matt has issues with this place and I don't blame him. We have talked to Mr. Underhill about peoples' concerns and he is making things better. Bamboo is a good place to go, just not every weekend.

Mister Corbin I met you a couple of times down at the hump. ( big guy on a SP 500) #1 I think your KQ looks great. #2 Since you didn't start riding yesterday I'm sure you weighed out the Pros and cons of lifting your bike. #3 ALOT of people told Vinnie (cummins power 24) He would break boots and axles on his Brute Force And as far as I know he has not. He's running 30's. #4 Your bike, your money, your dream, If it doesn't work out you can always go back. My ONLY advice, SAVE YOUR STOCK PARTS! You never know. I've been told by alot of people that I'd never get an old Sportsman 500 to run where the "Big Boys" run. After alot of work the old girl does impress people. I think we're hanging with the Homegrown crowd at RYC and I really want to see your finished project.

My popo has had a few mods since then. It took alot of work but she will swim as deep as I dare take her. the .020 high comp piston made alot more low end power. Now I gotta work on keeping her upright.

Can't believe anyone would call your creation a "sport Quad". We parked next to each other at C&R a year or 2 ago. Me and my friend on sportsman 500s. Is that the same quad before you slightly modded it? Saw it RYC. You ain't losing that thing in a crowd.

I was at Underhills last event and thought he put on a good event. He had DEEP water and mud. It was crowded but not crazy. Since we're running out of local riding areas events are what we got. Eddie's place isn't the best but I've got alot of time and $$$$$ invested into my 2 ATVs so i'm riding them somewhere.
