We have a 13' cottonmouth with a jurnigan built 0-720 8 cyinder lycoming, a 13' predator with a angle valve 0-540, and a 13' predator witha 0-670 continental 7 cylinder radial engine. We just bought a GSO (supercharged) 540 from junior jurnigan though and were going to put it on a 11' aluminum step hull, and we also have a supercharged 8 cylinder lycoming 0-580 hanging up in our shop, but were not quite sure what were going to put it on yet.

I love having a full size truck, but the gas mileage is killing me right now. Im getting about 12 miles to a gallon. but when you think about it, most mid sized trucks get about 17-18, and dont have near the power or space of a fullsize truck. To me it's worth the 5-6 mpg to have the space and power of a fullsize. not to mention the sound of my chevy 350 with glasspacks.  Grin

You just have to decide which you would rather have power and space or better mileage and less room/power

In my utilities i run amsoil 0w40. It's the same weight as atv brand oils, and I've always liked and trusted amsoil.

How do you give someone good karma? I've tried to figure it out for a few days now with no luck.

You probably need to regrease the clutch weights. yamaha has a scecial lube that works best for this. but take the primary apart, and you'll see 8 little O things, you just clean them, and apply a little grease, and you should be good to go.

Also put some sealicone around the edge of the cover when you put it back on.
