we went up yesterday and the entire place was under water. the only things above water was the road to the parking lot, the gate, and then maybe a couple hundred square feet of parking.

thanks for the reply.  we are going to head up next Saturday so i will be sure to let the guys know.  thought it would be better to camp there then going to ONF since you cannot double up on the quads there. i am also going to double check and make sure it is ok to camp closer to the water since like all kids, my kids like to throw rocks in the water.  Smiley

double checking, but is it ok to camp up here?  (would like to know from the guys who lease the land or someone who is very familiar)  just want to make sure that we would not be squatting.  was thinking of heading up that way with a couple friends and the kids.

what is the riding like in Hastings and Hillard?  is it public or private?  could you provide directions?  i have been to Waycross and the riding up there is awesome and well worth the trip.
9  General / Where to Ride? / Re: Hatfield and McCoy trails, Ok it's not in FL but on: January 29, 2009, 01:33:06 PM
i have not been there before but we have a trip planned for the end of May.  i am driving up from Jacksonville and will be meeting some friends from Canada.  we did quite a bit of research prior to selecting these trails and it is really convenient since it is almost the same distance for all of us to travel.  our plan is to stay in the town of Gilbert.

is it still standard practice to call the number mentioned in this thread?  or is the guy usually there and just hand him some cash?

Paul is righ, there was plenty of mud and water to play in.  I did not get into much of it because it was just me and my 4 year old and i do not have a winch yet.  the trails were fun and seem to go on forever.  i put 25 miles on the bike in about 4 hours.  i live over by the Oakleaf Town Center and it was 96 miles, pretty much all of which was I-10.

Thanks for the suggestion.  Went out there today and had a great time.  Even managed to get my Rincon stuck and then unstuck.  I now have 25 miles on the bike...

I just bought a new ATV this week and am looking for a good place to ride.  I would like to do some trail riding and mud/water is always fun.  I would like to bring my 7 year old with me so I would be riding double (purchased the cargo box with the rear seat).  Open to any/all suggestions.  The place in Waycross looks really cool, is that place to open to ride on if you pay the fee?
Thanks in Advance.
