I just got back from there. I didnt see any gators at all, but I did see a huge buck (deer) in the first trail I went into. it freaked me out, I went into a trail and I made a left turn round a blind corner and it jump right across the trail into the bushes and in a split second it was gone and out of sight. I was riding behind the pump station through some nice sport bike trails until we started getting a little brave and ended up in some real deep sh!t. Dude we started getting attacked by these killer bugs. The thought of running out of the trail and leaving the bikes stranded crossed my mind several times while getting them out of the mud. The weather was great all day but 5 minutes after we left a nasty storm was on its way there. I was pretty wet today, I could only imagine its gonna get worst. oh yeah I got some pics throughout the day. can u post some of the pics? thanks

man this really blows. So now the FWC is giving people a hard time there too. Basically its all a matter of luck wether you run into these guys out there or not. It doesnt matter if you park on 8th or by the lake cause they are going to both spots anyways !!!! bring on the fat FWC lol thats funny what u said at the end

Matt (4x4matt) and I spoke with one of the FWC officers tonight about macks riding. No levee riding on the levee's that are blocked off allowed at any times (duh). The airboat ramp is open season. You need to have the "airboat flag" when you ride anywhere off the levee's. The mack's road to the camp is closed at dark.
Basically...open season everywhere except the levee's (state road restrictions apply) and the macs road. Flag has to be on if you ride off the main levee. Helmets if under 16.
Please respect these laws because this actualy is a really nice place to ride and it IS legal. You have to have a RECTANGULAR airboat flag (not a dirtbike/atv triangle). You have to respect the regular rules like green stickers and registered bikes, speed limits, etc when on the levee.
They showed up right at dusk to make sure no one was riding the macks road (there is a name for it, but I forgot). I went and picked up an airboat flag at the gas station at giffin too...not too bad of a price either!
Lets keep it legal...please. It's a good riding spot.
i agree with all said
