1  General / Racing Scene / Re: RCDR's "The Rattler" Hare scramble #1 on: September 04, 2008, 11:41:21 AM
Need some new scenery?
Take Jasper exit #460, C.R. 6 west past Twin Rivers forest / Blue Springs to right on C.R. 255 (blinking light), head north, follow 255 signs to left on150. Pops you out about 2 miles from Pinetta.
You won't be dissapointed with the landscape!!!
Mileage is about the same, speed limit 60mph
2  General / Racing Scene / Re: RCDR's "The Rattler" Hare scramble #1 on: September 04, 2008, 11:40:07 AM
The quickest route is as follows-I-95 to I-10 west, take I-75 north, go approx. 25 minutes to Jennings exit #467. Back over pass on 143 west to BLINKING LIGHT, right on 152, all the way to STOP SIGN. Turn left on 150 into Pinetta(watch for speed drop!!!) At BLINKING LIGHT in Pinetta, cross highway to FIRST RIGHT, Persimmon Dr. N. Follow Persimmon til it turns to dirt, approx. 2 1/2 miles , and general parking is at gate with AMERICAN FLAG on post on RIGHT HAND side.

unfortunatly i can't afford the gas, membership fee, and race fee to make this one.  Sad

Why not? You had 3 months to save...1 month to save for 50.00 membership..1 month to save for 45.00 event fee..1 month to save 100.00 for fuel..........

If you really really wanted to race you would have found a way!!
4  General / Racing Scene / Re: pee-wee racing on: August 15, 2008, 10:15:58 PM
I hope ALL you parents are so proud that you are going to rely on EVERYONE else to put in a track for your kids and all you need to do is show up pay your monies and race...after asking for HELP I or RCDR have had NO...NONE... not 1 response to come up and help this weekend....although Jon P. was going to try but don't think he could make it. I do not have ANY kids that race so I have to ask myself if YOU don't care about a place for them to race why should I or my club or any other club!!!!!!!!
5  General / Racing Scene / Re: RCDR's "The Rattler" Hare scramble #1 on: August 11, 2008, 10:42:40 AM
was told we could go ahead if we can get a few Quad parents out there this weekend 8/16-17 and do the peewee course...so you parents ...here it is it's your time to shine and your time to be involved...come on up and help put "YOUR" kids track in.....after which they can help BURN IN.....yes and you can bring your quad and help remove debris then burn in all the NEW trail...bring your  YOUTH rider along cause they are going to ride 1 hour + 1 lap from 5:15 to 6:15 so they also can help out
6  General / Racing Scene / Re: RCDR's "The Rattler" Hare scramble #1 on: August 11, 2008, 10:30:30 AM
good deal Jon...as of Sat the gas was 3.53 and diesel was 4.23 at Lake Park so hopefully I'll keep dropping on down as time goes on

as of right now we are at 7.9 for Sat. course with maybe another 3/4 to 1 mile added and was told we could go ahead if we can get a few Quad parents out there this weekend and do the peewee course...so you parents ...here it is it's your time to shine and your time to be involved...come on up and help put "YOUR" kids track in.....after which they can help BURN IN.....

I know monies are tight right now but if you and a group want to get together and come up next weekend 8/16-17 to help clear some of the trail and then help BURN in all the NEW trail we could use the help and get you a sneak peek and good QUAILITY ride time in...

what we would like to offer is 4hrs. of clearing some falling debris out of the trail and 4 hrs, of burn in after lunch each day...We are going to go over Fri. Sat. and Sunday so if you are intrested PM me and I'll give you my #...

Just a "DAMN GOOD" piece of property to ride...

notes of intrest:
Rattle snakes in the Valley of the "2" trees...yes their are "RATTLERS" out there so where ya boots at all times...about 50 acres of HOT clear cut HARDWOODS of stumps that are no less then "12" in diameter with ground cover all over so IF you do decide to cut across, be prepared to "UNASS" your quad...
Oh did I mention HOT...no trees other then the "2" SO START hydrating TODAY!!!!!!

Gulley's/dropdowns/"ENCHANTED FOREST"...don't get broke down in THERE..
hell we had to get "INTOXICATED" just to arrow it...
HOT!HOT!HOT!

there are motels ($49.00-59.00) about 20 mins. out if you want to spend the night and Randy (property owner) said we could all drop our rides off at his GATED house so we don't have to worry about them at the motel.

so if you want some great ride time/training come on up next weekend

PM me
8  General / Racing Scene / Re: How many plan to race the SSQSA XC series? on: August 05, 2008, 08:35:28 PM

9  General / Racing Scene / Re: First losers!! LOL! on: August 03, 2008, 08:50:42 PM
Brian, good seeing you yesterday...wow did FTR step up in a big way for the Quads....1st 2nd and 3rd place trophies for the 3 top teams and EVERYONE that was own a team received a plague....GOOD JOB FTR...

Brian, I will try to put together a proposal for the teams next year in the format we discussed last night....It was by far the highlight of the season for me, battling with MXSOUTH for the team championship down to the last race and only wining it by 1 point ...it was better then if I had won 1st in Masters...I guess I have always been a team person...Thanks again for the memories and look forward to making many more this coming up season...

oh yea there was no loser's this year in teams we ALL won!!!!!!!!!

Jen and Phil Albright...what GREAT people they are...Had our Cycle Gear booth next to the Geico both and was abe to talk and spend a little 1 on 1 time with them both and I can say this "WE" the Quad community could NOT ask for a better ammbassdor of the sport then then two...what great people they are...

12  General / Racing Scene / Re: Quad Series Tentative dates on: June 11, 2008, 06:54:50 PM
Like the schulde but it does have conficting event weekend with FTR...I personally would like to have the opportunity to race both...the conflicting dates are:

1/24 - FTR is at Brighton
2/21 - FTR is at Gatorback

and neither of SSQSA dates have been taken as of yet...like duroc825 said less ALL work together
13  General / Where to Ride? / Re: clay county on: May 14, 2008, 07:27:07 PM
PM me PJ...I'll let you know
14  General / Racing Scene / Re: Do you want to race? on: May 12, 2008, 04:15:18 PM
I agree with Brian's thought on this...the one thing I'll say that is true..I just got and email from our club's VP and he wants us (my family of quaders) being our racing is over to come help cut trails in for the up coming ENDOURO...we have cut trails for the WW from Aug to Oct. then it was rained out...cut trails on our (RCDR)lease property so every club member can ride...drove 3 weekends to Pinetta (141 mile 1 way) to cut in trails for our hare scramble then we could not race it cause we spent TO MUCH MONEY FOR GAS cutting in trails... went 2 weekends cutting in trails for WW AMP EXTREME Quad scramble (110 miles 1 way) ...

Now the morale to this story is..we have over 80 members and it's ALWAYS the same SMALL group the does the work...I'm sure it's like that at most clubs..I have been part of a pirates club and Parrothead Club...same set of issues...those that do the work...those that show up and DON'T work yet wants to be the 1st to take ALL the glorified at-a-boys...then you have the very small group that does MOST OF THE WORK just so THEIR family can participate...

So next season...before next season JOIN A CLUB AND HELP OUT!!!

21  General / Racing Scene / Re: QS#8 WW@ AMP Extreme on: April 20, 2008, 09:54:59 AM
Man was that a short fun place..Thanks Luis we (RCDR) did our best with what we had with only 80 acres...and was it FAST...Taylor came by me pinned (as always) only a 1/2 mile in...

I bet he is as fast as his dad said "HE" was!! LOL Bow Drive Thumbs Up... I made a joke!!..OK back to the race...

anyway me being in the LAST row of the 3:30 race (and slow) I get to see ALOT of the front runners come by so it is sort of a treat...well yesterday I got a double treat....got to point to all up through most of the +30 B class "FREIGHT TRAIN" which way to go by me then I thought I could go fast again...well that was a MISTAKE!!!!!! going to fast into a double green (2 HUGE ass pine trees..yea the ones I insisted we double and go through) my raptor said "Dude what the hell..I ain't hitting the tree) so it politely throwed me off...thanks for the guy's who stopped to see if I was ok...I loved the commits of 2 guy's that was supposed to be there watching the double green...."leave here for 5 minutes and all the action happens"...."well I damn shore whadden ain't gonna give'm a replay"..so I finished that lap #3 I think and I was DONE!!!... I changed with help from my wonderful wife, which told me to lie down a little bit...hell no I want to see THE RACE...+30 B class so I took my medication got on the foreman an man you guy's was STILL turning and burning..I wish I was 20 years younger....

Jimmy Benton ...you are so missing out!!!!!

as the race was over we all gathered under one of the BIG OAKS and resounded about the race..Luis, Paul, Ken...the exhausted pleasure gleeming from each of your faces...Brian, face all dirty, snot running out your nose just knowing that you left nothing on the track except your ALL!!!!!!!

I know the gas crunch has hit us all and we all fell the pain but thanks to ALL 97 RIDERS that was able to make it and would like to thank Jeremy and his brothers at AMP EXTREME for providing us with a piece of property to have this 3 time rescheduled event..

Thanks Shawn Pratt for COACHING my wife down the steep incline at practice and Yvonne Williams....you go girl for doing the race and over coming your fear!!

And a special thanks to RCDR for allowing me and my family to be part of there wonderful club... for those of you out there that read this you are missing out if there is a club near you and you are not part of it...

we'll see all ya in 2 weeks
22  General / Open Discussion / Re: My son's 16 year old cousin injured...NO HELMET!! on: April 17, 2008, 01:54:43 PM
That's terrible. I hate to hear of anyone getting hurt, especially a child. It really burns me up to  hear that he wasn't wearing a helmet.

Me to TRX RACER...Darrin has told him time and time again to wear a helmet...I know when Darrin rode with him it was with a helment or he would not ride.....just stupied that .."oh it'll not happpen to me attitude".....

thanks Mark and all the others...will pass it on to the family
23  General / Open Discussion / My son's 16 year old cousin injured...NO HELMET!! on: April 17, 2008, 11:17:33 AM
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Darrin's 16 year old cousin was serverly injured this morning while riding his 4 wheeler and had to be air lifted to Shands in Gainesville...as of now we know he has severe head trama. Sad for a 16 year old...details are a little schetchy as of now other then the fact that he WAS NOT wearing a helmet....

I know most ALL of us on here gear up before we ride and teach our children the same rule...NO HELMET-NO RIDE-NO EXPECTIONS!!!!!!

SO help police OUR SPORT next time you are out riding and see someone without a helmet, ask them to help keep our sport safe, wear a helmet...no wonder SO MANY private land owners don't want 4 wheels on there property...afarid of getting sued by someone elses STUPIEDTY!!!!!!!!!
24  General / Photo Gallery & Videos / Re: Post up your Helmets!! on: April 10, 2008, 09:06:11 PM
