Yeaaahhhhh, It sucks the kid died. I never said anything against that. I was just saying the kid that shot him was an idiot. He took someone's life for such a rediculas bike.

So if it had been a kx 250 it would have been worth it? Seriously 94hardbody4x4 your digging yourself in hole. This story is really screwed up though. I feel bad for that kid and his family. Some criminals should be hung.
3  General / Where to Ride? / Re: Is A Title Or Registration Required To Ride in The ONF? on: March 31, 2007, 02:12:48 AM
Do I need a title to get the sticker or will a bill of sale be fine?

Thanks
4  General / Where to Ride? / Is A Title Or Registration Required To Ride in The ONF? on: March 26, 2007, 11:47:11 PM
What all is required to ride in ONF? Is a bill of sale enough? I went there a couple times a few years ago, but I know alot has changed since then. Also I see alot of people just pull off on the side of the road and ride. Is that allowed?

Thanks

What makes the crf450 a faster engine than the trx450?

Try small airports.
7  General / Open Discussion / Re: Has anyone had there wheeler seized by the police? on: March 07, 2007, 06:03:14 PM
Ok, just kidding I never run from the cops, I just said that to try and make me seem like a bad ass or something. Undecided

It is not murder, they dont try to make up a whole investigation to catch someone 4 wheeling. I think they have bigger fish to fry.
8  General / Open Discussion / Re: Has anyone had there wheeler seized by the police? on: March 07, 2007, 01:28:58 PM
That would be awesome. But as many neighborhoods that have been built around here I doubt it. There is just to much money to be made. What people dont notice is they ruin everything that are selling there neighborhood to be. They take all this nice land and advertise look how "nice, secluded, and wild" this area is and everything, and then when there done everything is built up and it is nothing like it used to be. Oh, well.
9  General / Open Discussion / Re: Has anyone had there wheeler seized by the police? on: March 06, 2007, 10:13:57 PM
novadave, you ride out there to?

It doesn't make since to run most of the time. What I usually do is keep my eyes open in areas were cops often hand out (mainly the pits and mainly on the weekends). And if I see them I just go the other way, so that if somehow I do get caught I will have the argument that I didn't see them, dunno how much that would help anyway. But its also good to keep my eyes open so I can get a head start to. Last weekend I went past a pit and there was a cop waiting next to it(kind of down a tight trail), I just kept going without turning my head so he probably didn't see that I saw him.

You got to be careful out there though cause about 5-6 weeks ago they had an suv and a car at the white pit, I saw them before they saw us, so we just turned away from them. And about 2-3 weeks ago there was a group of two trucks, and I think there was one other vehicle. Now I have just been trying to avoid the pits, it sucks cause the pits are alot of fun.

I have been riding out there for over 12 years, ever since I was 5. Nobody cared back them.................oh, those were the days.

Its stupid that there are no signs and the trails are well riden, which would lead someone to believe that it is ok.

Where at on 561? I ride all around the turnpike. Everywhere from turkey farm to sugarloaf, and we have even gone to lake apopka before. I notice there are often cops at that white sand pit, where triple e turns into a paved road. And across 561 at that clay pit. Do you know where I am talking about? I really dont see cops anywhere else.

They actually put up a gate on sugarloaf mt. rd. but there are still like 5 more ways in there.

Were exactly is hills of minneola?
11  General / Open Discussion / Re: K&N Air Filter on: March 06, 2007, 04:03:51 PM
Yes there customer service is awesome. I had a K&N that shrunk a little on my old xr200, and I called (no wait, connected right away)them and told them what happened. They said ok, whats your address, and they sent a replacement out like the next day. Keep them clean, and oiled and you should have no problems with them passing dirt/dust. Alot of people dont like them cause they say they pass dirt, but I have never had any problems, and have never really heard of anyone that has actually had problems.

Hey Fox17, hows that xr400 treating you? Every now and then I day dream back to that bike.................oh, it was great bike. Any stitches or broken bones yet? I got a 400ex and just rebuilt it, and broke it in last weekend.
12  General / Open Discussion / Re: Has anyone had there wheeler seized by the police? on: March 06, 2007, 03:57:32 PM
Is that that neighbor hood going in on turkey farm? Do you ever go ridding, around sugarloaf mt. rd, or 561?
13  General / Open Discussion / Re: Has anyone had there wheeler seized by the police? on: March 06, 2007, 03:23:01 PM
Mr. Fixit, what neighborhood were you riding in? I live in Montverde, and we go riding all the time, and normally we dont run into the police but when we do, we normally run for it. You got me thinking now that you said you got your bikes impounded and all. Are or were you a minor at the time? Every time I have actually stopped for a cop, they are real nice, and just say go home or dont ride in that area.

Bigscrb15, I am a degenerate? Ha, thats funny. I am far from being a degenerate.

And because of cops and law enforcment, degenerates can have freedom of speech on a forum.

What kind of an argument is that?

Quote
Idiot! I hope the cops catch you and send impound your bike. A night in jail would be cool too.

I never call for people to be banned from forums, but you need to be banned!

How old are you? I thought you had to be at least 12 or 13 to be on forums.............lol.

Bigscrb15, I have a hard time believing that you never have ridden anywhere but on your property or on legal trails.

Just to get things straight, I am not a "cop basher." I really dont mind them(most anyway). They are just doing their jobs, some have told me, "hey, I ride to, just try to keep it down," and they let me go. But this kind of stuff happened a couple years ago. I would always stop for cops cause all they would do is talk with you, most of them pretty cool people, and they tell you stay away from this area cause someone complains. But lately they are just getting ridiculous, they had a 3 cop/vehicle team out there last weekend.

I went out for almost 5 hours today, and didn't see any cops. It was a great ride, had a blast, hung out with some friends...............you know, usual degenerate stuff.

What's the worst they will do? Report the inconsiderate little punks on ATVs running away from them and close more riding land. And people wonder why we keep losing riding land? Might have something to do with people like this.

The land isn't going to get any more legal to ride on anyway, even if nobody rides their. Also there is so many ways into these trails it would be nearly impossible to close.

Quote
Exactly!  Also, if you run from that cop and he catches you, you can forget ever riding your bike again.

How exactly would I never get to ride my bike again? Undecided

I have been riding on this land for about 12 years now, and in the last couple years they have been getting more and more strict. Its weird though cause when you go out there you see alot of people riding, people tow huge trailers out there sometimes.

About a year ago I got caught riding, cause someone was borrowing my friends atv the moment the cop came, so he couldn't run and I didn't want to leave him. The cop asked us some questions, told us that someone had reported us out there, then just said to ride home.

I understand that cops have to protect property rights, but sometimes they will just go out there and set traps to catch people four-wheeling, like they have nothing better to do. They will wait in the bottom of a pit or other heavily ridden area. I think they should focus on more serious things going on in the community.

Oh, well I am not to worried about it anyway I have been out running them fine on my 250ex and in a week or so I will have my 400ex ready Grin. Anyway I almost always see the cops before the see me, or at least we see each other at the same time. It is not an every single ride thing anyway, usually only on weekends. I also keep of roads, most of the time, to avoid them.
16  General / Open Discussion / Re: Riding Citation help needed on: February 12, 2007, 11:09:06 PM
How did you get caught? Do they have atv's?

Cops have been getting really annoying lately. Luckily they haven't caught me yet. What is the worst thing they can do? I haven't seen any on atv's yet, just trucks/suv's, which are super slow on the trails, especially if there is whoops. Its annoying cause I used to be able to ride all the time with no trouble, cops used to wave to me. The trails are well ridden to, I went out sunday and saw about 10 other ridders, and two cops.

It is in Apopka, just off obt/441. They seem very nice and reasonable. I will definitely go back. If you need more info like phone number or address, let me know, or you can just pm nightbreeder.
20  General / Tech Corner / Re: 400ex Remodel on: January 25, 2007, 11:55:26 AM
Ok, I took it to nightbreeders shop, and they said it need to be bored. So I am going with the 406 bore, and I talked to rockymountainatv, and I am getting the 86mm piston on monday. So I am thinking this project should start moving along, as long a there are no suprises (wish me luck).
21  General / Tech Corner / Re: 400ex Remodel on: January 24, 2007, 04:01:02 PM
I talked to nightbreeder, and I am going to take it to their shop. They are going to measure it, and see if I need a bore and hone or just a hone. They will also be boring and/or honing it. I ordered a regular bore piston the other day, but I dont think it has shipped yet, so I think I can switch my order.
22  General / Tech Corner / Re: 400ex Remodel on: January 23, 2007, 11:34:32 PM
Ok, I got a service manual, well the pdf anyway. How do I mic the cylinder? What tools do I need and where can they be found?

Thanks
23  General / Tech Corner / Re: 400ex Remodel on: January 23, 2007, 03:29:01 PM
Thanks klutchbuster. I just got a new computer and haven't gotten photoshop yet.

24  General / Tech Corner / Re: 400ex Remodel on: January 23, 2007, 02:37:05 PM
I have about a 1mm gap and it says the service limit is .5mm. I would think the worn rings would cause most of that gap. I think the new piston and rings shold make up for this right? Let me know what you all think.

Thanks
