Cops are out there all the time. Neighbors sometimes call police when they see ppl pulling their trailers with bikes and what not in that direction. You don't expect anything and all of a sudden a cops stands next to your car even on a sunday morning at 7am. Haven't been out there in at least 6 months and not only because of the cops ... Too many retards are out there being stupid, shooting, etc.

Hi all,
I'm looking for another outdoor forum that covers all kinds of topics from fishing to camping to hiking, etc. Haven't really found something so far. Doesn't matter if its limited to Florida, South/South-east, or nationwide.
Thanks for you help!

General / Open Discussion / Propane fryer and pots
|
on: May 29, 2007, 11:23:53 AM

Hi guys, I know this is a little off topic ... however I have a few questions. I bought the other day a Bayou propane fryer and it came with two pots. A small and a large (about 7.5 gal) one. As of now I just need the small one. I used the small pot the other day and I noticed that through the heat the pot burned quite a bit on the bottom of it. When I unpacked everything Bayou had 6 hard plastic things sticked to the cooker and it looked like they were only there to 'protect' to pots in the box, especially they werent on the side were the pot would sit while you are cooking. Now since looking at the burn marks at the pot Im wondering if I have to use those hard plastic things even though I doubt it since I'm almost positive that stuff would melt. On that hand ... I'm also looking into getting a 10-12 gallon pot. Can I use any stainless steel pots or do I need to pay attention to something?
Thanks guys for your help!

I went to CC last year in July. I was awesome!! The entire place is awesome and even though the parking lots might be full, you barely see people bc its so big.
Just a few things ... - campground near by sucks if you have a tent - Super8 in town offers a discount if you mention CC - make sure you get a map with the latest trail ratings

It's the same with those campains like "don't buy gas from shell that they have to lower their prices" ... bla bla bla ... seriously ... stuff like that is crap. You know no choice, one way or another.

I was considering Tellico OHV area in Murphy,N.C. You don't wanna go there with 2wd and an inexperienced rider. Winche prefered at quite a few places. Rocks are everywhere and not everybody might have a good time.

The problem with garbage is everywhere the same. I was at ONF last weekend and saw plastic bottles and other stuff everywhere. But even if you go to privat owned riding facilities such as DP or others were you are technically not allowed to have that kinda stuff with you on the trails, you find a decent amount of them next to the trails.

Riding fee is the same if you camp. I was at DP in July and stayed in one of the cabins. The RV camping is alright, I mean it's pretty much a big campground. You get your hockups and you're good to go. The food at the lodge is decent, but I think overpriced. I know ... $6 for a good lunch is not a bad price and $10 for dinner bufet on Sat night, but I still think it's kinda overpriced for burgers, hot dogs and pulled pork, especially there are no fries, just chips. Anyhow, we stayed 4 nights and enjoyed it even though it was really dusty and dry during the time we stayed. I'm planning another trip up there is year, but don't know when. Hopefully sooner than later.
