The new F-150's come with 20" rims as an option. I have 33" Toyo Mud Terrains on my factory 20's with a leveling kit on the front end. Wayne

Saw it on Bay News 9 last night. The Mosaic Company is selling 200 or more acres for an off road park. Randy Wilkinson was shown walking around the property. It's about time we gat an off road park around here. The news just didn't say exactly where the land is located. Hopefully centrally near Mulberry. Wayne

And just where is this little slice of heaven? Been a while since my last visit here, the computer at home was hacked into so it had to go. This looks like the place I need to go to to let off some steam on the ole' Kodiak. Wayne

Sorry it took so long to post. Went riding at the Wandering Wiregrass Trail on the 7th of January. Passed by the trailhead twice before I found out that the powerline was the trailhead. The family and I had a great time except for the yahoos on the dirt bikes. The riders on atvs were gracious 90% of the time. They slowed down when they passed us so as not to dust us too bad. The dirt bikers flew by so fast that it was insane. They had no respect for any other riders. For a first time in ONF, had a great time with the family.

Thank you very much IT. Sounds like the trail for me. But the rain forcast looks like today is out of the question. The wife says no way. Tried to tell her the dust would be less, but to no avail. Hopefully next weekend. Happy New Year to you and yours.

Has anyone rode this trail yet? Call me crazy, but the wife and kids want to go riding Monday. This trail system is closer to us. I live in Winter Haven so the closer the better. Will this trail be good for the kids (ages 7 and 13). I am worried about someone coming around a blind corner and getting hit. I am just looking for a relaxing ride with the family.

Hey Ida, how do you get to the Lake Delancy Campground and Rodman Dam Pit area? I am wanting to take the family there New Year's week-end to do some riding. I will be coming from Winter Haven, Polk county. Also, do you think my youngest daughter's atv will make it, it is one of those mini 50's with the small tires. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

There is an atv park in Sylva/Dillsboro, N.C.. It's called Roy Taylor Park. I don't know of any rentals there but it's a nice relaxing ride. Kinda in the middle of the forest. Not to many people know about it. Good place to take the family.

General / Where to Ride? / Polk County Riding Area???

Has anyone heard any more about the supposed riding area here in Polk County. I know Commisioner Wilkinson is busy now with the election. But does anyone know of the proposed location or start date on construction? It's getting harder to find a decent area to take the family.

My 7 y/o daughter rides a 50 BMX ( I know a piece of s**t) but a good starter. My 13 y/o rides a 90 Adley, been riding it for 3 years now. And if not to many know, a 90 Adley is a 2-stroke rocket. Next year I am getting her a 125 Grizzly also. Then the 7 y/o gets the Adley.

We need a place like this in Florida. HAHAHA like that will ever happen. Wasn't trying to be rude by correcting you. Just a bad habit of mine. Hopefully we will have a riding spot here in Polk County soon.

As Grizzlybear said, Three things are wrong here. 1: No Helmets. 2: two kids on a one person atv. 3:Was the atv too big for the kids? My daughter gives me a hard time about buying her a larger atv. She is 5'8" tall, my height, but she is only 13.Her 90 Adley gets her around nicely. Moral to this story. Parents need to supervise their kids at all times when they are young riding atv's.

My mother-in-law just finished her chemo for breast cancer. She had a breast removed. The cancer was in 3/4's of her lymph nodes also. But guess what, the cancer is gone. She went in for a complete exam and tests and everything come back clear. NO CANCER. SO prayers can be answered. Your family and your friends are all in my family's and my prayers.

My family and I were riding in the riding area. Not even close to any private property. This idiot just didn't like the idea of anyone being out there that wasn't an owner. I am not a bad a** in any sense of the word. I will go out of my way to help other people, and I am usually referred to as Quiet and stoic. Butmess with my family and I will react. As would any father/husband would do. My youngest got a couple of pellet burns on her arm, but was okay. It would be nice if the new proposed riding area was more centrally located. I live in Winter Haven and would like to only be an hour from a riding area at the most. But wherever it is, if I can I will volunteer as much as possible.

As BIGSCRB15 said, for service Cycles Unlimited can't be beat. Shane the owner is a straight up guy and one that I consider a friend. His people are some of the best there is. I will spend more money to get my quads repaired there than to go somewhere else. His service is that good.

Yea, you can go to river ranch. If you want to get shot at. Itook my family there a few months back with a friend who owned property there. He stayed at his camp working while we went wheeling. About an hour later while resting we heard a gunshot. A few seconds later shotgun pellets rained down on us. Just to let you know my daughters are 7 and 12 years old. We were not racing around, just cruising. We went back to the camp and told my friend. He and I went to a place that he knew we wopuld find out who did it. Got there and asked around, and low and behold one guy there admitted it was him. That he didn't want outsiders riding in his area. Of course a fight ensued. I will not put up with anyone doing any type of harm to my family. This idiot got his jaw broke and arm broken. I stopped there. I have taken martial arts for 20 years and have never really had to use it until now. But this was the additude I had to deal with at river ranch.
