Ha, I'm not new to mechanics. Im not getting power period like I should, I can't properly turn over the starter. It has gas an compression. No handlebar controls will work, and no spark when turned over manually.

General / Tech Corner / 300 EX Wont Start?!
|
on: November 09, 2008, 09:47:13 PM

So I took my 00' 300ex to a buddies track for the first time and hit a few jumps. Then I went down a long dirt road close to WOT and finally hit a small trail. While going down the trail the bike was trying to back fire or sounded as if I was hitting a rev limiter. And finally I shut it off when talking to a friend and it just wont start. When I hit the button I get no power to anything. If I take a scewdriver and cross connections at the selinoid the starter will turn it but it appears I have to spark when I test it. Anyone have a clue? Also, I've tried to push start it, and it just wont fire. Battery is charged, fuse good, getting gas, etc. Thanks!

General / Open Discussion / Anyone near Daytona?

Hey, I recently picked up a 300ex on trade and am looking to get back into the sport, getting a 660 as well in a few weeks. However, before I can ride, the 300 needs new carrier bearings and the carb tuned. Is anyone around Daytona that'd be willing to help me out, or know of any reputable shops? Thanks

Hey guys, I have decided to relive my old child hood memories (all 15 years worth ) and get another go kart. Anyone know what to look for when buying one used. I'm thinking about restoring a rolling chassis then dropping a 8-10hp motor in. Anyone know any go kart forums which offer classified sections for them 4 sale? Thanks PS: If you happen to have one for sale, see my want ad.

It holds up very well to all conditions. I painted all the plastics on my old warrior and it not only looked great but never really showed any scratches, etc. It doesnt chip or anything nor when you bend it. I reccomend it.
