1  General / Open Discussion / mud tires? on: June 11, 2010, 11:20:51 PM
What is the difference between skinny and wide tires in the mud and which do you prefer to use?

Are you still aloud to ride at the humps? And is that the spot right next to the homestead speedway?

Just got invited to a friends house in the Keys this weekend.  Not going to be able to go to Corbit this weekend or next.  Man I miss RR.  I am going to try and get out there in three weeks.  If not maybe we can shoot for that weekend for Corbit.

I have a Rhino with twenty seven inch XTR's.  It goes pretty well in the mud and water but it is not snorkeled.  Hopefully some others will join in.  Let me know what time you could make it.  We are about 45 minutes away.   Is there much shade on the trails.  We havent been to River Ranch since Memorial day due to the heat and lack of water.  That looks to be changing from the reports we have heard.

Thanks for the update on Corbitt.  I am still interested in going, just need to find the time.  We drove by there Saturday on our way back from Lake Okeechobee.  I wanted to drive in and check it out ut the wife had other plans.  Is it muddy or sand and water?  Who do you ride with? friends or do you go with kids.  I have 13 and 11 year old boys that like to go but could go with out them if needed  The next weekend I have available is the 11th of August, either Saturday or Sunday.  Let me know if that is a good weekend to meet for a ride.

UTV's are side by side machines like the Rhino, Mule and Ranger and supposedly not considered ATV's at Corbit.  I am in California for 10 days but would lilke to check it out before hunting season starts when I get back.  I dont like to ride with one machine so let me know if anyone is interested in checking it out.

Anyone had a chance to check out Corbit?  Thinking of going, just don't know what to expect.  Let me know if anyone has gone or would be interested in going.

Funny, I just saw a sign today for it in Deerfield near the entrance to the Sawgrass Expressway.  There is a station on the corner of 10th and Powerline across from Quiet Waters.

They must have changed their mind because I had no problems registering my Rhino this weekend.  I guess the morale of the story is don't believe everything you read on the internet.

Rhinos not allowed. That doesnt make sense since you can register buggies and trucks.  We are planning on going to the Seafood Festival and were going to stop at the ranger station to get inspected.  I better call before I go.

There are no dirt bikes aloud  there.
15  General / Group Rides & Events / Re: L-Cross Family event Dec 15th - 17th on: December 13, 2006, 10:02:29 PM
Thanks for the offer.  We will be there with a camo eiger and camo rhino with a back seat, both like to get muddy.  Is there any trail riding or is all the action in the mud pit?  Do you recommend a 4x4 to find a good spot to park trailer?  I normally tow our trailer with a 2x4 but also have a 4x4 if needed?

Was thinking of going on Sunday am.  Have never been there.  Is it worth it on Sunday or is everyone leaving. What is the traffic like getting out of there on Sunday.

Never mind the directions, I found them.  Is it 15 per bike or 30 if there is a passenger on back.  Debating which bikes to bring.  How much property is this approximately.  Can you do a decent ride and and not go around in circles?
19  General / Where to Ride? / Re: Family Riders on: July 12, 2006, 02:24:42 PM
Never been to underhills.  Is it cow pastures with trails?  Is there any shade? Where is it in Stuart and how far from 95 or turnpike?  I may check it out this Saturday.

Just got back from the Keys and was riding River Ranch over the 4th of July Weekend.  Anyone else at river ranch that weekend.  It is starting to get good again with all the rain.  Im not sure when we will be going back, hopefully the weekend of the 22.

I live in South Palm Beach County and ride with my 2 sons age 10 and 12.  We like to ride trails and mud and are looking for other family riders who like to get muddy.  We go to river ranch, holey lands and Big Cypress on occassion.  Any riders with similiar interests and would like to meet for a ride, let me know.

24  General / Where to Ride? / Re: Boca Raton Riding Places? on: January 07, 2005, 06:56:43 PM
Thank you for the update.  I dont ride on roads and I am very careful to set a good example.  I agree we need to keep all riding areas open and the only way to do that is to ride responsibly (sp)?.

I went by there today to check it out and went down the long paved road.  I turned around before I found any trails.  It sounds like I was in the right place.

We are going to cardsound Saturday for the day parking behind the racetrack.  I have a white explorer with an open trailer.  Come by and say hello if you are riding there.

25  General / Where to Ride? / Re: Boca Raton Riding Places? on: January 06, 2005, 06:55:44 PM
We park behind the racetrack.  There is a dirt road and you will see many other riders parked there.  When you get to florida city at the end of the turnpike, the first light, turn left and follow it for a few miles.  You will see the overflow parking for the racetrack on the right and it is just past that on the right. Have you ridden Holy lands before?  What is it like and how do you get there?  Do you have to worry about law enforcement?
