2  General / Where to Ride? / Folkston Dirt Farm review on: June 19, 2005, 01:49:25 AM
We went to the dirt farm sat. and had a blast, got there about 10:30 and was the only ones in the park, wich was good, gave us some time to get use to the track Smiley most of the jumps out there, any novice can jump, ecept the 2 doubles, prety much do or die. after bouncing my head off the handle bars 2x and spliting my helmet visor, i prety much left them alone, lol... the table top is where we stayed most of the day. it was sweet, very hard to mess up on ecept over jumping it. its about 35-40ft wish it was about 10ft longer Smiley... i posted 2 pictures of it below, they also have a drag strip and oval flat track and a short trail for the 4x4 atv's... also there shop has a little bit of everything with decent prices.
the place is a little small, but all in all, there is 60+ acres with prety much everything you would wont to do and its a legal place to ride, got to give them 2 thumbs up for that !! you should check it out and help support one of the few places we have to ride Smiley  DRK

Hate to here about someone getting hurt but mabe they will do somthing about it now and open up a park. thats the problem with our law enforcement and communities, things have to get so out of hand before anything is done, or till so meny people get hurt, its real sad.
here in lake city, they just assigned a taskforce of 4 dupites to handle all the atv related issues, now wouldnt that money for there cars, salery, gas, and other expenses be better spent to fix the problem instead of tring to put a bandade on an open wound? the problem IS NOT GOING TO GO AWAY, no matter how meny tickets they give out,
no matter how meny people get hurt, the solution is simple and cost effective, open up designated rideing areas. mabe someday they will listen but anyway, thats my 2 cents,   Drk

If you like to make your own trails or ride in mud, its ok. not much out there for a sport quad, we ride out there from the house every now and then. just not to much fun having to look out for the ranger, cause you just about have to get on the number roads to get anywhere.

anyway, we are alwayse looking for more riders for our group in lake city, and we have about 4 places within 50 miles we ride, that is if you dont mind skuffing the law :/  lol... give me a halla, drkshdw@se.rr.com
