im guessing it has something to do with the 5v ac coming from the stator and on the exciter wire at the cdi.all my other quads have 10-15vac while cranking,i just dont have another 300/4000ex to test

already bypassed and removed the ignition switch and the kill switch. it also does the same when jumping across the starter relay.

yep checked everything and according to the manual all the impedances are correct.i even have bypassed the ignition and the kill switch too..still no spark or voltage to the coil except for a lil spark when you let off the start button.the cdi and stator came off a running bike.

bolts right up...have u actually ever looked at the 2 frames? nowhere close to being the same.a 2wd sport quad and a 4x4 utility quad are worlds apart.why not fix the rusted frame you have? its possible to replace only the rotted parts...if you were near by i could repair it for ya or even build you a new frame if it was that bad.

working on a 300ex for a friend that has a no spark issue. has power,ground getting to the cdi box,has 5v ac while cranking going to the exciter wire at the cdi box,im assuming it has signal from the pickup coil. does anyone know what the ac voltage coming from the stator should be while cranking? only getting 5v ac on all 3 wires at the rectifier and to the exciter wire at the cdi.all the impedances are fine according to the manual,replaced the cdi coil and stator with a known good one...still no spark.

Sooo who broke what? I got lucky and didn't really break anything on the quads.til the trail ride once I got home..shredded the cvt belt on my kodiak.guess it didn't like getting soaked yesterday.

spoke too soon about the skeeters....i've been outside working on the quad and now have bites all over me..

occasional verrry light sprinkles,nothing major so far.im still outside working on my quad,and im like 3 miles away from there.

ah figured some of you might want to know they had planes flying over last night spraying for mosquitos...they went over my house twice and im not that far from the event.hopefully it helps-but im bringing a gallon or so of bug spray just in case...

might go head out there in a lil bit-hopefully it doesnt rain too bad tonight!!

just got a set myself and was wondering how a lil time with the tire groover would do for them.i figure i could cut the lugs in the center about 1/2" deep to start with,maybe later cut the lugs into a scoop like i did on my full size tractor tires...

sounds like u never went off the main trail at 5a...theres plenty of riding spots there that arent all whooped out.lots of tight trails that are atv only and lots of very deep mud spots.theres a few spots in deltona to ride,all depends on what u want to ride in.theres also a few spots in daytona i used to hit when i lived there...go by the local atv shops like daytona atv in holly hill and ask em where to ride? they will know where some of the lesser known local spots are.

hey are golf carts allowed? finishing up a big block swap on a cart and id like to see how it does out there.

wow,are they actually gonna turn the hunters with leases that they cant use the property that weekend? last year they had basically all the trails closed because of hunting season.

i was just going to point ya to the apollo mc club website for more info,but it seems like theres a lack of info about the actual event online. its located in samsula fl off sr415 near the sr44 and sr415 intersection where the new smyrna speedway is.the entrance is usually marked with the ftr arrows pointing it out.the driveway you will be turning into has a sign for a recycling place(cant remember the name). if you've never been,its a great place to ride.tons of trails,lots of cool people,and if it rains within a week of the event-tons of mud.

its been very dusty out here lately,i actually live down off maytown rd.if it rains the day before,the dust is gone but dont count on much mud.there is always mud out there,but getting to it may be hard.there are tons of trails,ive been going out for a few years and still havent seen it all.also every time there is a forest fire they cut miles of new trails too.one piece of advice- DO NOT GO ALONE!!!! you will get lost and be miles from civilization.make sure u have plenty of gas before heading off the main trail.if you do get lost,google maps aerial view shows the main trail pretty well,and on my blackberry it shows my location and direction of travel.helps a lot at night when headed back
