I love Joe! who else loves joe! We all love joe!
By the way, thanks for volunteering for the banquet brother!!
that was huge of you! [smiley=ThumbsUp.gif]

Hold the  phone Sand MT.,
we are just talking over ideas for next season... I'm aware that the summer races will NOT be part of the next series or the current.... ANd thanks alot for having racing during the so called "OFF SEASON"   Man, we all got the shaft last year when those freakin hurricanes came thru.... that sucked...
It might be cool if we could all have a meeting sometime to discuss different ideas..... I assure you that all who have posted on this thread only have the tracks best interest in mind.....
Thanks Again for a great track

I dont understnd this mid season thing this not mid this end for a while we are not having points races for a few months this will be practice time

My suggestions are not to kick anyone out of any classes, just make enuff classes for everyone..... Again, I realize that EVERYONE cant be made happy but there are lots of ways to do things...
In promoting someone to another class mid season,  they wouldnt start over, they would take a percentage of their points with them..... so as not to throw away their hard work...
Hell, it dont matter to me either, the 2 classes that I would run (Vet. + Expert) are gonna be the same anyhow... Just trying to think of the other riders who love Sand Mt. as much as I do.....
I dont believe in the whole tech. inspection thing  at all.... Are we racing for a world championship here or what???  If a factory ride were on the line then the Open class rules would have to be evaluated.... But its local bragging rights and most of all its supposed to be fun......  IF anything I think a check should be made for a functioning kill switch and that ones front and rear brakes work properly.... otherwise I think tearing down someones motor is kinda petty and dumb.....
I think the Thackers 450R hauls ass,  and I dont care what's done to it..... Unless I was to build a 450R for myself.... they did a great job with it........   Congrats to them...
     JT's "R" hauls ass,  Wes's "R" hauls ass......
THose bikes are fast... But what make them really fast is the guys whose ass is on the seat...

Jason,
hey bro, not sayin that ya cant run what ya brung.... just run it against the other guys who have those big $ motors... they want to run what they brung also...   just sayin that if the classes were a little more evenly matched some of the other riders may have a more fair opportunity to run competitively against their opponents....
Who wants to run their STOCK Z-400 in the open beginner class against those "beginner" quads..... I know that you and I are fast guys but when you are out motored you are out motored..... I know man,  I've had to eat roost behind that monster of yours before...... BUt I still love ya....

I agree with TBR    years ago when we all raced 3-Wheelers the stock class was one of the most competitive classes out there.... We could change Handlebars, use a twist if we wanted, could use different tires, and run offset rims..... BUt I would agree with spacers..... There are lots of different class suggestions that could be applied....
I think there needs to be a greater displacement differentiation between classes.... ex: 400EX vs YFZ 450.... in the open classes..... no contest...... Make a 0-300 class (no 250R's) then a 301-400 class, then 401-Open..... And I realize that ya cant have 55 classes in one day.. but we could get the engine sizes a little closer..
Also.  might need to consider a promotion points system like they use in the FTR series.... A win = so many promotion points, once you reach so many points you are moved into the next class..... or maybe use the "A B C" classifications like they do in FTR also.....
Got lots of suggestions, lets talk sometime.

Hey HEy,
Joe Kirkland here,  slow Vet. rider representative....
I think that the rubber band is the ticket ( just  My .02 )  if ya jump that joker you will get tied up in it..
I personally would be agreeable with the light myself, but.... It would take someone really watching the line and if someone jumps, just restart.. no big deal.... do over....... Others might think that if someone jumps penalize them.... Doesnt matter to me.... just do over.... If ya fast ya fast.......  ha  ha ha....
       Hey yall,
lets change the layout for the next series.... If ya need some ideas let me know.... # 918   slo poking in the VET class.....

P.S.
sure hope to see the sponsors step to the plate for the class winners at the  banquet... I wont be one of them  ( havent made all the races ) but for the ones who have  man they need something good.....  NOT like the $20 gift cert. that I got for winning the Vet class points championship for the first series... Not bitching but, I hope that things are better for this series.... And just to reassure, I love what ya have going at Sand Mt.  cant wait till the MX series starts...

P.S.S.    I have some ideas as far as class structure, and promotion ideas for the classes,  cause some of the Open Beginners dont belong there, but they wont step up..... there needs to be a limit as to how long a rider can stay in  a class like that......                 WHen ya get old enuff ya can stay in a wussy class like me...... VET RULES

Brandon,
is that the same raptor that you told Wayne he would'nt finish in the top 3 in the open amateur class?? Guess he's just not the caliber of rider that you are huh......
     Top 3?   We'll see...........
                      Joey

See Yall Sunday........

Wow,
this sh*t is better than Comedy Central.... I mean, who the hell cares who builds the fastest motors? I am much more concerned with the typing/grammar skills that are BUTCHERED in these threads...... I cant even figure out what some of you CLOWN's (CS YAMAHA 130) are even attempting to say...And dont give a sh*t which REAL MEN went to the Olympics.... How did ya do up there hot shot? If you didnt get your ass handed to ya up there, maybe the riders who attended the Olympics should come to Sand Mt. and check out some real fast dudes.......
Hey Brandon,  you spell Rick's last name HINES......try to remember that.....
No disrespect meant to anyone who reads this reply... if ya cant stand the heat......... SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!
      See Yall on the 16th...............
           J.Kirkland ( 918 )    mmuuuuuaaaaahhhhhhhaaaaahhhhhaaaaaaaa

P.S.   Hey  Jason........ Hey Wayne........ oops and Hey to you too, Clay and Brandon........  this sh*t was just too good to not get in on........

Hey J........
ya looked good out there today man..... sorry I couldnt stay and see your other moto..... bike was strolling man.... and you looked great out there in front....
Decided not to run today, since we have a H/S next Sat.  gotta prep for that, hell I havent even cleaned it since the last round at Sand Mt......  So I need to prep it this week for the woods.....
     Congrats again brother.....
            Take Care

Hey Ken,
Rick Todd (BMS) used to be a Tiger dealer.. I rode the Tiger 200 and the Tiger 250 3-wheelers at a few races back in the day when 3 wheels was the way to go... They were pretty cool.....

                                Joe
