Years ago I rode a friends Grizzly 660 in Vt. Way better than I thought it would be. It was really good. How does it stack up against the newer machinery like Outlander and Sportsman models?
As a long time Yamaha guy with dirt bikes and street bikes, I can attest to their insane reliability.
Do the Polaris and Can-Am models stack up on your he long run?
Am I giving up a lot in real world performance with a Grizzly?

Long time motor-head. Former Motocross and Road Racer-
I am looking to get the kids (and myself) into ATV-ing.
Wow- where to start?
I'm thinking 4wd utility type.
Outlander, Sportsman, Grizzly...

How big do I really need to go?
700cc enough?
850?
1000?

Of course I prefer reliable vs out right performance.
Anyone out there have experience with multiple ATVs that are "in the know"and are willing to help steer me in the right direction?

I'm in Jacksonville FL.
Probably trail riding, sand, some mud but not necessarily crazy deep stuff...
