Instead of banning side by sides..... we are taking a completely different approach and gearing the entire run to accommodate them. This years run will be a party to remember, a run designed for side by sides with 4 wheelers and dirt bikes welcome.

Please see my post in Group rides and Events for more info.

The Apollo Motorcycle Club is proud to announce that we will be hosting 47th Annual Pumpkin Run on the weekend before Halloween October 27th-29th.

Pre-entry for the event will again be $50.00 per person and will open Friday September 1st at noon and close Sunday October 22nd at midnight.

Post-entry for the event will also again be $60.00 per person, cash Debit or credit (no American Express) ********NO CHECKS*******

There will be no gate fee, and minors 12 and under are $20.00 both Pre-entry and Post-entry.

This year is going to be a whole lot different than previous years, as we will be catering to the Side by Side crowd with wide open trails and several vendor sponsored "PARTY" spots with many surprises.

Hypersona will once again play on Friday night from 8pm till midnight.

There are a few members in the club who believe that the property is getting destroyed by the side by sides and over aggressive tires. Considering imposing Ocala OHV trail limitations on tire lug size.

Not sure how we could possibly regulate this with pre-entries,...pretty much a no win situation.

I'm sure there will a lot of heated discussion on this topic in the near future. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for the input. The idea is being kicked around to ban Side by sides, and over aggressive tires in general. Trying to get an idea of just how much smaller this event will become before it's just not worth doing.

Looking for feedback and input.

Would you still attend the Apollo Motorcycle Club Pumpkin Run if Side by sides were no longer permitted to participate?

Thanks TRIPOLAR....a lot of effort went into getting ready.

Great news.....Our club came together and we were able to cut and clear all the down trees from the trails. The main camp ground is almost completely dried up and should be perfect for the event, the wheelie is full and the new play area is full and will be a lot of fun. Got a good cold front coming which should make for some great camping weather.

Great news....kinda, right now there is a TON of water in the woods (trails), the main campground is wet, but should be all dried up in the next 3 weeks. Wheelie pit and our new "play" areas are going to be a blast. The trails are badly clogged with down trees, as we work to clear them I urge everyone to stay ON the marked trail, there will be hundreds of new stumps that could damage your machine.

Going up tomorrow, pictures to follow.
