Title: Progressive Insurance supports the ACLU Post by: Honda328i on December 20, 2005, 02:21:16 AM Just informing everyone that Progressive Insurance Chairman Peter Lewis Gives $8.5 Million To ACLU. Some members may have their bikes insured by Progressive and may want to be aware of this.

We have both our Vinsons, Our Boat, My Fiancees Quad(when she gets it Jan 1st.) and Josh's Truck all with Progressive.

And, for those who are truly concerned, is there some other link or published reference to back up those contentions about the ACLU? After all, you're asking folks to believe that a major insurance firm is risking profits to sponsor child porn, etc.. I believe Target is also being criticized for who they allegedly do and don't contribute to. But, even if half of the allegations are factual, how many people are willing to pay more for their services/goods by shopping elsewhere?

That 8mil is a drop in the bucket compared to his stock trading values each year.
progressive is a public traded company it isnt owned by one person or a group. Thats like someone saying "Im never going to Walmart because the door greater doesnt donate to the red cross".. I work for progressive and our work place is COVERED in Christmas stuff and we have Christmas partys and exchanges.. dont let one persons "different" ideas hurt the 35,000 people that it employs.. |
