ROFL thats so retarded.  "The bill also says police 'may stop any vehicle that bears a DUI plate without probable cause to check the driver.'"  Sure DUI is bad, but that is going kinda far.  Getting a DUI is bad enough, and this just adds to your trouble, knowing cops know at a glace that you've gotten a DUI.  And plus, what if you share a vehicle?

That would be a bad idea.  It's basicly telling the cop im right over here.  And yea they probably will make sex offenders paint their houses pink too.

you would think that with the current efforts that are already in place that this would not be necessary. however, I would approve of this for someone who is a habitual offender. Then again what stops a person from driving when the court system permanetly revokes the license, nothing!! the risk is always taken with the thought process that "i'll never  get caught"at least not until  they kill  someone or an entire family. dont know which is the worst of two evils when it comes to sexual predators or DUI offenders they both have drastic consequences

i think the gay community would love the pink tags. i think cops would take advantage of the situation and harass the person but they would definatly stand out  ;)

thats a stupid idea. That doesnt prevent a driver from driving drunk. hook up a breathalizer to the car.

and then get your sober buddy to blow into it. then go out and drive drunk and kill somebody. is there really an answer??

Pesonally I don't think it's a bad idea, anything that will help deter it. If you know someone that's been killed by a drunk driver you would agree. My best friend was killed in ONF but he was the one that was drunk, luckily he didn't kill anybody else. As far as the sexual predators I think a bullet would do just fine.

I think its a geat idea. I like the fact that the cops can check you at any time to see if you have been drinking. It would deter some of it because a lot of people would not want a tag like like just so that they would not be harrassed. I also think they should have a purple one for known drug dealers so they can stop them at any time also.

Since I have lost a brother to a Drunk Driver, I think everyone knows where I stand on this topic.

 no what they need to do is install the breathalizer in their vehicle if they pass then they can drive if not it wont start  yes they could have someone else do it for them but how many drunks have a sober rider? if they did then they should drive

What they could do is take your license on the second offense. Forever, Don't even let you drive to work. I still think the tag Idea is good. At least it may save someone.

Yeah i disagree with this, homosexuals will be purposly driving drunk just to get this.... doesnt sound safe to me.

   Actually, you should not be stopped simply for the color of your plate AT ANY TIME   (check out the 4th ammendment to the US constitution which has to do will searches and siezures).
  I do not believe people should be targeted or 'tagged'.  If I am doing something wrong, fine.  But to stop me for no reason (or enter my house for no reason, or tap my phone for no reason).......nah.
  I don't want police stopping me "anytime they want".
