Title: Changing Grips
Post by: UncleRico on September 18, 2005, 08:07:04 AM
Does anyone know any tricks or tips for replacing handlebar grips?

I had the shop put my last set on, and it looks like the guy who did it was drunk?

the easiest way i know of is take and air nozzle and slide it in between the grip and the bar. push in while blowing the air and the grip will slide right on. I usually spay some spray paint in there to help stick to the bars. then wire tie then for extra security. 5-10 minute job for a profesional...lol

Cut the old ones off with a utility knife. Spray some hairspray into the grip slide it on and position it correctly as fast as you can.

What he said. But before you spray hairspray wipe the bars off with rubbing alcohol and try get a rag with alcohol on it and run it through the grip then do what Wilburz said.  -Mark
