Title: Z400 question, answer quick! Post by: svtbolt04 on July 22, 2005, 05:41:58 PM ok, what is the stock gearing on the z400 in the small gear? What if i replaced it with a 15 tooth gear? What gain will I see. I plan on taking it to the drag strip tonight to see what the top speed is..

15 will give you more top end, Depending on your tire size, with 20" Rears stay with the 14-40, the 15 would make it a dog out of the hole. When running 18" I have switched to 14-38, I have a 15 Front I want to try just have not tried it as of yet with this combo! Title: Re: Z400 question, answer quick! Most drag strips will let you slide with long sleeve shirt, long pants , boots , gloves and a helmet. I already went, but I didnt go to brandenton, I went to Immokolee, it is a 8th mile course. I ran a 10.33 at 61mph.
