Title: Osceola is Wet In April
Post by: CanAmMan on April 14, 2009, 10:22:52 PM
We rode in the Osceola National Forest on Friday (April 10th).  There is water on all the trails!  This is twice we have been out there in the Spring.  It's been wet both times.  A couple of pictures are below.  We also have a video posted of the trip at: www.armadillopeppers.com/Jacksonville.FL.Fun-Stuff. (http://www.armadillopeppers.com/Jacksonville.FL.Fun-Stuff.)

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has released new maps (earlier this year). They are available at the Olustee Ranger District or online at http://www.fs.fed.us/r8/florida/osceola/recreation/ohv.overview.php#mvumos (http://www.fs.fed.us/r8/florida/osceola/recreation/ohv.overview.php#mvumos).

Hey look at it like it is a canoe trip on your ATv, I have done that many times there and even had gators swimming nest to us.

You call that wet? P.S. Your link to more images doesn't work.

That's got me thinking twice about going to Osceola anytime soon. I'm no mud head like you guys, or more like my machine isn't! Is it still that wet up there?

The original post is over 3 years old! However we have a hunting camp less than 40 miles away and it is pretty much submerged under 4" of water throughout the 1800 acres.
