Title: What to have when you're riding a atv not in your name at ONF Post by: xchief1320 on October 22, 2008, 12:33:44 AM I bought a brand new 08 LTZ400 from a Ga dealership a few weeks ago and to get a super low interest rate my G/F had it put in her name. Anyway so it made sense at the time to save 2% on the interest. We called the Fl. DMV after buying it and they said that i could be added to the registration without any issues, but the Dealership says different. We paid the taxes when we bought it in Ga so they are sending all the paperwork here along with the green sticker.
So basically what can i do to not get in any trouble if i do get pulled over by a ranger? Is the dealership smoking crack or is that true and the DMV gave me wrong info. I would be more inclined to believe the DMV over a dealership. But either way since the dealer says it has to be that way i'll have to redo the registration when we finally get the paperwork. Thanks for any insight on the delima.. You don't have to be an owner of a vehicle to drive it, so if everything else your doing is legal I don't see where you would have any problem.

At that time it wasn't a big deal since that ATV was in my name. I'm just trying to avoid any issues in the future is all.
Thanks for the reply Title: Re: What to have when you're riding a atv not in your name at ONF Post by: VForcedave on October 22, 2008, 12:33:07 PM Just stop and politely wave to him and haul azz. Screw the forest nazis.
