Title: Honda Foreman Throttle Sticking (need help)
Post by: MudMan on September 25, 2008, 01:58:34 PM
I have an 06 Honda Foreman 500.....my throttle is starting to stick here and there.  Is there any easy fix for this ?  I don't want to take it to the dealership for this, they will charge me an arm and a leg.  Thanks !!

I would start by lubing the cable. Also look inside the thumb throttle and make sure everything is OK in there. If that doesn't work then detach the cable from the thumb throttle and carb to see if it moves freely. If you still have a problem, the next step is the carb.

It has been a while since I have worked on a sticky cable... I had a 2000 foreman all I did was take the throttle cable off and sprayed WD40 as best as i could in the cable and worked it back and forth.

I will try that...its definitely the throttle or cable or something....its not the carb.....cuz when it sticks i just slam the thumb throttle and it clears out lol
