Title: man my butt sure hurts!
Post by: gery350 on August 28, 2008, 10:23:56 PM
my son(klutch) started college and he needs 4 books. he got 2 today and they were almost $300.00. i tried finding them used on the internet using the isbn numbers and lo and behold i cant even find them new(i guess they are the newest editions). thank god i had got him the prepaid college plan.

its  a conspiracy i tell ya.
its "de man" keeping me down. well i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.

i guess im just venting, but i really think its ridiculous paying 300 clams for 2 books.

here are the isbn #'s- book 1- 9780536229298,0536229295
                              book 2-9780321565617,0321565614

i think gaydirt would've more gentle ;D

gotta go get me one of dem dear donut cushions............ ???

Forget the cost of books. Make sure he is diligent about going to EVERY class and studying. If not, the cost of the books add up to very little compared to the rest of the costs. Time and money, and the effort on part of the parents is alot more than the books.

Here's what I found so far. This link shows a price for the second book at $76.07. No luck on the first book...yet. I will keep trying for you.

Wow thanks Anoriginal, we couldn't find anything anything on either books.

And thank you, its a fun experience, definetly very time consuming.

Oh man, I have about an hour between two classes, and thats exactly what I spend it doing. Today I was in the computer lab studying for my anatomy test tonight. First class and we already have a test. :'(

thanks guys for the replies.
i remember going to college and books averaging 30-50 bucks.
the books must be newly published cause nothing comes up.
i just wasnt ready for the hit.
but hey whatever it takes.

anoriginal-i tried the link but it showed zero.;thanks anyway for watching out.

i am very proud of my son.

as long as i have the ability to work i'll find a way. if not, gaydirt made me a proposition i may take(right up the......) ;D

if i still had any of my college books i'd give them to you for free. they are probably so out dated though. they were mostly business management books and mechanical engineering. i probably sold them to buy a quad ;)
