i read the website, seems possible but i don't believe it just yet.... and just because they found a new species of monkey doesn't necessarily mean its "bigfoot". pretty interesting.

looking at that picture it looks pretty damn fake... but they are doing testing and having a conference and what not, idk. you would think they would give you some pretty good pictures of it if it were for real not some half ass fake looking picture of it dead stuffed in a freezer.

This bigfoot researcher is one of the most recognized in the business. I doubt that he would fake this because it would pretty much ruin is career.

You know it would be really cool if this is legit, but still a little skeptical....  Not to say I won't say there is no Bigfoot, but hard to trust ppl anymore now-a-days....  There is that one guy, I don't remember his name, he's got a couple of pics of Bigfoot in the Glades, and those pics look pretty convincing.  I will say this though, I can remember growing up in So Fla, we would be out riding horses, and every once in a while you would get a smell, and as kids we called it the "skunk ape".   I haven't smelled that in years, up onto a few months ago, about midnight on 192, and I smelled it.  Took me right back to being a kid, and I yelled out "skunk ape"...  Don't know if any of you ever smelled that before, it is a weird smell.  I have heard all kinds of explainations of it being skunk, a rattle snake, ect.  I just don't know.  Don't think it's a rattle snake, and as for a skunk, never really seen a skunk in So Fla, or Fla for that matter....

Like I said, if it's true, that would be so cool.  As for causing a stir in the Religion, what's up w/that.  Bigfoot is not the freakin missing link....  If he is real, and could very well be, just thinks it one really big freakin animal, more than likely related to the Gorilla. 

And oh yea, the freakin Messing w/Swasquash(sp?) are funny as heck.... Jack Links....

I was watching monster quest a few nights ago, and they had a segment on the skunk ape. They said that everyone who supposedly came near it smelled an odor relating to rotten eggs.




If those pictures of that "bigfoot" are real, then I'm sure that area where it was found is now going to be disected pretty closely to try and find some others.

The thing that yells FAKE to me, is that they say several others were sighted. Well why didn't they photograph the others? The second photo released shows they had a camera on field. If you discover multiple never before seen creatures, and you have a camera, then take a picture of them.

I guess what some find fascinating about the whole bigfoot mystery is the never ending quest and excitement of the unknown. But in reality ,with all the dog hunting that goes on throught the south theres no way a creature over 7ft tall could ever escape dogs. I've been on tree stands when dog clubs have put dogs on, run them across us and litteraly run every four legged critter out of there that cant climb a tree.
So the idea that a large brown hairy animal that might have to run when chased and not get shot in the process by the " if its brown its down crowd", is remarkable.

Its all harmless fun for some but very dangerous to the pranksters in an ape suit.

It was on, I saw apart of it. It seem like the news rather keep on showing other crap over and over again, Russian and Georgia conflict and the presidential candidates. They said they have DNA proof and there waiting on an autopsy. There being very tentative about were its at, I think there worried about the future of this species in the wild too. They offered to bring some of the press back to were there storing it to check it out for them self's. Also they have some of the top scientist in the world there. I really don't think this is a joke.

It seems pretty legitimate and I understand why they arent releasing a lot of information, because they want to make sure the habitat isnt overrun by a bunch of crazy bigfoot hunters.

My Mom was borned and raised in Kelso, Battleground, Calama, Long View area up in Washington and when she was young her Parents( my Grandparents) had a couple of friends who were related to the guy (i wanna say Alan Barry???? not sure) who "made up" Bigfoot and she remembers him telling his stories about the famous Big Foot when she was young.

I friend of mine lives an hour north of Atlanta and he was telling me that the DNA results came back Human DNA and Possum DNA. Don't know if this is true, so this thing is possibly our missing link. This explains my back hair then. ;)

Yeah I heard about that too. I think they said it was a hair sample and could have been from a possum that hung around the dead body, since it had been there for about 2 days. They said one dna sample came out inconclusive, and the other was similar to human dna. The guys didnt kill it by the way, they said they were camping and went for a hike and found it next to a stream. Then got some people with a truck and towed it out of there. What makes me believe this might be true, is these guys flew back a fourth from Georgia to California, theyve been on Fox, NBC, CNN, and a couple other news channels. They are both law enforcement officers, so if this is a hoax, they are putting a lot on the line. They said they are letting a news reporter from Fox watch the autopsy and have a crew there to film it.

What about the inconclusive dna? Doesnt that prove that it is nothing anyone has ever studied and therefore would not match any other samples.

i never said i believed it, i said it seems like it COULD be possible. i don't believe it until i see some good pictures.it just seems like they wouldn't be making such a big deal about it if they didn't have anything to back it up, yet the lack of pictures makes it seem like a load of bs. I wouldn't be surprised if it went either way at this point.
