well i cut my buddy's blaster fenders and it came out AWESOME, better than any cut iv seen so far on all the blaster forums. i will be doing the same exact cut on the blaster im workin on.

 i know, its a work in progress, needs a hood and seat cover. he wants something like a 03+ maier hood cut down a little shorter to look like a yfz450...

I cut the fenders on my 300ex and it looks 1000 times better than those big elephant ears on the front.

i like the custom one off seat on there, for duck tape, thats pretty damn good, looks almost like factory lol

and i do like the cut fenders, i bought my banshee with cut fenders and man its killer lookin as apposed to the huge ears, and supposedly lots of wind drag with them on there

yea, im VERY happy with how the finder cut came out, after looking at everyones fender cuts on the blaster forum i couldn't find one i liked as much as this one, we kinda just got lucky laying it out, turned out lookin like a yfz fender. im just having trouble thinking of a nose piece that kinda goes with the look. im doing the same cut on the blaster im working on

what did u use to cut the fenders ?    i wanna do them on my kfx 400

u heated up a razor blade and cut it with that, then sanded it with 60 grit, and worked my way down to 1000 grit, then heated the freshly cut/sanded edge with a torch.

what kind of cut are you going for? its a shame the z400s have the fender ruined by the warning tags, it really kills any fender cut.

not really sure just want the front fenders smaller

I used a sawzall with the metal cutting blade then sanded the cut edges with 80 grit then worked down to 220 grit.

update: the quad is completely done and running now, the owner is takin it wheelin with us tomorow. got a few pics of it complete

the wiring was kind of a nightmare since it had no factory harness at all, everything was from scratch, all i had was a roll of red wire so EVERYTHING is red lol, even the grounds :o it works tho...

the oil seal on the shifter leeks, so it marks its territory but its a slow leek so it will have to do for now... it also has a number of other small problems like a bad wheel bearing, one of the spindles is bent, and we need to dial in the tie rods, they aren't bent, just not adjusted.

EDIT: that seat belongs to the blaster im working on, so dont worry it still has the duct tape seat cover. i put it on for the pics so i dont get made fun of ;) lol
