I have noticed that latley I can't start my new Yamaha unless I am really giving it the gas at the same time. Is this a problem or should I not worry?
it mite be the carberauter adjusment like the idle or air flow but what do i know im just a kid!!! but that has been happening with my 250ex :'(
did you adjust your idle screw any? you may want to try turning it up a lil.
what size pilot jet are your running? what mods have you strapped on.

First 2 aren't even english to me (lol) ??? and mods well none. My quad is fairly new and even if I wanted to make any mods I wouldnt know where to start.

the idle screw adjusts how much gas you use while idleing i think, may be wrong. If you havnt adjusted it then its probably pretty low. Most dealors have it low, mine was when i bought it. If you search around google, you can probably find more on it, and the carborater adjustment.
to solve that its real simple just find the idle adjustment on the carb and give it a few turns and u should be good to go ;)
Before you try to adjust anything. check out your air filter first.
WoW thanx for all the help. I checked the air filter it isnt really dirty and when I took it off there is no dirt passing. So I adjusted the idle screw and it works fine :D. I can't believe that little itty bitty screw is what was giving me problems ???
