wow. i just dont see how people dont see what hes about to do? not just white people but everyone . i can honestly say im kinda scared if he wins. time to stock up on ammo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! because this country will go to hell .

I think the fact that someone as far left as Obama actually made it as far as he has, is a prime example of how convoluted America's collective mind has become. His success is driven solely by the pacifist, feel good idiots who are totally out of touch with reality and what matters.

The man has no creditials, no plan and no ability to lead this nation. He is a bigot, a liar and, above all, a Muslim at heart that spent 20 years associating with people that openly encouraged the overthrow of the United States. He honestly believes in radical redistribution of wealth at the expense of those that earn it. He has zero foreign policy experience or ability and would be a laughing stock in such an arena.

The touchy-feely, lets don't keep score, everyone is a winner mindset will ruin us all.

Now, I may not like everything Obama stands for but he is certainly going to be better for this country then GW has been for the last 8yrs.  From GWs approval ratings which I believe is in the low 20% range to the economy to the war and to the United States standing in the world, GW and the republican party has been a huge failure.   Anyone running right now would be a whole lot better than GW.  And as far as Obamas experience is concerned, he has more experience then GW had when he took office and he is a whole lot smarter than GW could ever hope for.   :ThumbsUp.gif

It can't get worse than GW. There's no disputing that.

All in all I feel that  if we can get someone in office that will actually think about the country of the United States of American verses helping everyone else then we will be better off.

Obama is a junior senator and nothing more. Bush was the governor of a state with a GDP higher than many nations. Also, Obama has ZERO foreign policy experience which is critical these days. Love him or hate him, Bush has more experience. Not saying he's awesome or that he's done no wrong....just that he's got more experience.

In addition, be careful saying "anyone is better". That's not so. It's like the adage "cutting off your nose to spite your face". Obama isn't the right guy and anyone with any intelligence relative to today's national state realizes it. (and Fish, I know you're on top of it).

Moreover, it's a mistake to compare or measure Obama against Bush. It's a comparison that doesn't matter. Bush is out in a few months. The comparison needs to be with the current potentials for president. In a race of three, Obama's abilities to properly lead this nation are a distant third.

McCainn will be 4 more years of Bush policies, he already stated he will stay in Iraq and keep the tax cuts.  Unlike the rest of you, if McCainn wins I will do my best to support him until he starts screwing things up more than they already are and then I will start on him.  If the rest of you would be just as open minded if a democrat wins then this country would be better off.  Try it  :)

Hillary or Obama

Can anyone tell me of anything good that has happened since the democratic party took over congress? Seems they can't help the economy either. It has went further downhill.

Then I guess we are all doomed.

Yunt's right. The Democrats control the house and Senate and have for a while. Yet, they've accomplished nothing. McCain's policies are not GW's and he's leaps and bounds better suited to run America than Hillary or Obama.

Even the most staunch democrats have to confess that this is the weakest two candidates they've fielded in ages.

I mean, just look at the contrast in Obama's verses McCain's economic policy. Obama's plan is full of HUGE spending by the already drained federal government ($60 billion in "Infastructure Redevelopment" plus $150 billion in "Green Energy") and giant tax increases as a result thereof. Couple that with his proposed universal health care system at around $65 billion per year (wonder who pays for that?) and it's audacious. Now then, top that all off with his proposal to raise minimum wage workers' earned income tax credit by an average $6,000.00 per year. Um, that makes zero sense folks. Not sure about you, but I already pay enough tax to help the rest of the country. I'd like to keep more of what I earn and Obama ain't gonna let you do it.

Meanwhile, McCain proposes tax cuts aimed at businesses to encourage growth and employment. Also, tax cuts for every American across the board regardless of income (not just low income like Obama) and lowered full impact taxes like fuel surcharges, etc. Hmmmm, sounds a bit more appealing to me.

Anyone want to talk foreign policy on the candidates?   :-*

Tax cuts are fine and dandy if you have a balanced budget but we have not had that since Bill Clinton.  The republicans want to keep cutting taxes today at the expense of our country tomorrow.  You guys know that they don't "just print more money" don't you.  The money to pay for tax cuts comes from the gov't borrowing which has a huge affect on the economy and not to mention it is just not sound policy.  Every nickel the gov't borrows will have to be paid back, sure keep taxes low now and worry about it later but later is coming sooner than you think and your kids and grandkids and great grandkids will be paying for your tax cuts today.  You republicans amaze me, talk about doing the right thing and all for family and what but I'll be darn if you are not the first ones to want to pass the buck to future generations.  Simply amazing  :K

Then, if you feel the way you do, why would you advocate the government spending over ONE TRILLION DOLLARS over a period of 10 years to fund absurd pork barrel projects without a balanced budget? Or argue to redistribute wealth at the cost of the working class (can you say socialism?)? I mean, that is exactly what both democratic candidates are calling for. It came right from their mouths and is printed for everyone to read on their campaign sites.

McCain's proposed tax cuts come only at the sacrifice of such pork barrel programs and are pro-growth, pro-worker and pro-business. Tax cuts in the right place combined with trimming the fat from abused over liberal socioeconomic programs is solid fiscal policy my friend. We can all see that.

Pssing the buck to future generation is what we'd do if we implemented Obama's economic policies. I mean, talk about spending money you don't have.

Oh, and I am a registered Democrat.

For him not wearing the pin of the flag, or at least acknowledge the fact that so many died fighting for the rights of people like him to be how they want is ignorant. He has never served in an American military as well, so alot of the things he says has no validity in my eyes. To me, it seems clinton and obama are both trying to sell something.
They both want to be on office for their own benefit, not the American people. Both are trying to become the first female or black President. To me, Jesse Jackson would be a better black candidate. He has proven that there are some black leaders who actually care about equality, rather than one color more powerful. I believe McCain is our only good hope in this election, and even then his age is a concern for me. Im waiting to see who these guys pick as running mates. Then we will know what were in for.

I am not sure I heard Obama or Clinton for that matter mention that they would cut taxes.  And please, the republicans are the king of pork barrel spending.

I want Arnold Schwarzenegger for president. I don't much know or care about his policies, I just know that nobody is going to mess with him. Maybe he can somehow get the US Constitution amended so he can run for President some day. It would certainly make things interesting. He mentioned on 60 Minutes once he would like to run someday if it were possible.

You know hilary is gonna win. She seems pretty smart plus she has her husband to fall back on for advice, since our economy was at its best when he was president.

And the winner is???  ANORIGINAL  by a land slide. This thread and that non disputable video in particular speak volumes. I may not be as articulate as some of you when it comes to my political views but the facts that were divulged in that video are the same ones that helped form my opinion of Obama as a person and as a potential candidate for the presidency. I will be the first to admit that I rushed to judgement long ago based soley on his patriotism or lack of in this case. That and his Muslim background / up bringing. I'm sure that may seem shallow in some peoples eyes but to me I would much rather have a PATRIOTIC president than a president with a history like the one pointed out in that video. And to top it off you have people that are VERY articulte and knowledgeable in regards to politics such as Anoriginal that can present the facts in a precise and accurate manner without twisting them in an attempt to have them interpreted the way he would like you to interpret them. Anoriginals statements did not cause me to vote the way I intend to however they certainly did help solidify my decision.Although similar comments are broadcast over the radio,it's a shame that this very same video or the facts within have not or cannot be broadcast on television in an attempt to educate the american public while there's still time. I appreciate everyones opinion and would like to thank ROCO999 for posting the video link.

I always appreciate the comments and discussions we have on these types of subjects. Fish and trx #9 always have good thoughts and comments that are well thought out and informed. I appreciate everyone who enjoys my remarks and I always try to back up everything I post with fact.

To everyone, we are ahead of the curve. What I mean by that statement is, because we bring up concerns supported by data and then discuss them openly, we are doing exactly what a democracy is designed to cultivate. That is, dialogue among the people in an effort to gain as much information as possible to assist us in making an educated decision relative to who will be the next leader of the free world.

The short of it is that it is not a democratic senate. it is split 49 to 49.

This country is not ready for a female president or a black president. Not yet. .

But then who knows. There are people out there who still support GW.
