Title: Re: when jumping?... Post by: Lost Soul on June 20, 2005, 12:01:45 PM I thought that was what the kill switch leash was for...to keep you on the bike.
Are you getting launched off because of the back kicking you up? Or are you coming off the bike on the way down? I stand up, slightly forward, and use throttle or rear break to compensate for the front/back getting out of line. You can also shift up to adjust while in the air. Good Luck Title: Re: when jumping?... Post by: Honda250ex on September 28, 2005, 02:45:34 PM make sure the nose is to hi
Title: Re: when jumping?... Post by: Toomey on September 28, 2005, 07:59:04 PM Same happens to me, when I jump with the blaster sometimes, esspecailly on certain jumps, I just go flying and I'm holding on to the bars alone, it's like my body goes higher than the quad. This happened less than on the 400ex that I ride sometimes too. Anybody have any real suggestions besides dumb stuff?
Title: Re: when jumping?... Post by: UncleRico on October 04, 2005, 08:58:46 PM On a serious note...
If you rev the throtle while airborn, the bars will come up to you, this will change the attitude of your landing but keep the bars from feeling like they're moving away from you. Also, you can squeeze your tank with your knees on the way up to keep you in proper form, but remember to let go before you land, because it can leave some serious bruises on the inside of your knees. Peace out -Uncle Rico Title: Re: when jumping?... Post by: svtbolt04 on October 13, 2005, 11:23:48 PM Im with rico.
Here is the reason you feel your body flying away from your bike. #1 You are coming up to the jump with some speed, then before you get to the top, you are letting off. Whats happening? Well, as you and the bike are accelerating, you both have momentum and mass. When you let off the throttle, your bike has more mass and less momentum, compared to your body that has less mass, and same momentum as the quad before you let off, still traveling the same speed and trying to pull the quad along with you.
