Title: Ortona Sand Drags 2/26/05 Post by: methyman on January 30, 2005, 07:33:39 AM I just spoke to Roger today about a sand drag event and he said it wll be the last Saturday of Feb. which is the 26th. It will be double eliminations. He is supposed to get me a flier so I can post it here, so it will have more details on the classes.

Either get a real tree like they have in Ga. and bracket race or run classes and run it like they do at Salts.

Last time the way it was run for $20 you made 2 passes, your best time was the one that counted. Then based on those times is how they placed you. Not enough seat time for me.

The track is long enough, just have to move lights out another 100 feet. They used to run 300 feet way back but the trucks couldn't have enough room to stop, so they made it 200 feet for mud drags.
