Title: MY New 2008 Grizz 700 camo Post by: r6realtor on August 10, 2007, 11:08:46 PM Well just picked it up today, I only rode it for about an hour so far awesome! Make sure when you pick yours up you check to see if they put oil on the filter, there was absolutely none on mine, the oil was also a little low but I did a once over on it before I rode so it should be good. Plus I got a 4 year warranty just in case any troubles down the road. My winch will be in next week. Thanks

Love ergonomics of the 700 griz Title: Re: MY New 2008 Grizz 700 camo Post by: r6realtor on August 13, 2007, 11:37:57 AM Ready for snorkels and 29.5s yet? ;D I dont think I am ready for that yet ;D I guess Im gonna break her in with the stock tires and then throw a set of 27" xtr's on with some black ss 108's, thats definitely big as I will ever go. SO far this thing has got some balls trying to keep it below 1/2 throttle but it's tuff! Where is the deal on the itp tire and wheel combo's these days? the guy I used get them from outdoorsman.com does not sell ITP anymore :(Looks good. Love ergonomics of the 700 griz r6realtor Title: Re: MY New 2008 Grizz 700 camo Post by: dirtycruiser on August 14, 2007, 05:40:20 PM Nice rig r6r...... we need to get together and ride somewhere! Title: Re: MY New 2008 Grizz 700 camo Post by: Cory1020 on August 18, 2007, 09:58:03 AM Nice bike. Is it the powersteering model? I know they made it an option for 08. Ive always liked how those look, especially the camo.

Title: Re: MY New 2008 Grizz 700 camo Post by: Cory1020 on August 21, 2007, 05:22:18 PM kawa, powersteering came out on the 07 700 models. They did not put it on the 660. Then Ive heard for 2008, they made the powersteering an option. For people who thought it was "to much"

For people who thought it was "to much" That is correct, I do not have the power steering on my model, I truly felt I did not need it Iam 26 years old and think I can handle it ;D Also I have already spent enough on the bike itself plus an extra 2 year warranty on top of the free 2 year warranty, the winch, skid plates, shock covers, the rear box, and tire/wheels and I just insured both the rhino and the grizzly man my wallet hurts!! but very blessed to be debt free ;)Title: Re: MY New 2008 Grizz 700 camo Post by: AmericanRobster on August 21, 2007, 08:22:23 PM I know how you feel about the wallet hurting.

I am still undecided on a tire/wheel combo. I have the terra cross with 14" wheels on the rhino and I really like that combo, so I may do the same on the grizzly some black ss108 with 26" terra cross., but I also like the 27" xtr's but not sure if I want to loose that much lowend power????
Title: Re: MY New 2008 Grizz 700 camo Post by: Cory1020 on August 21, 2007, 10:35:06 PM I think you will be fine with 27 xtrs. Go with 26s if you are really concerned. Ive seen lots of people on highlifter.com put 29.5s and 30s on a stock griz and a 2" lift and it spins them fine. What about maxxis bighorns?
oh the ss 108s would look sweet on the camo. Ive seen chrome ss112s on a camo one too, it look pretty sweet also. Finally installed the box, black shock covers, winch and skid plates. Not the best pics because it was getting dark when I finished. I've never owned a belt driven bike , but I'm getting tired of shifting gears . I've had bullet proof reliabilty out of my old 1992 Honda TRX 300 fwd , only repairs are front bearings every 3 years due constant water and no maintenance. Thanks |
