Thanks to 06 and everyone who said go there, the place kicks azz!!! Some big boy mud holes out there, and the slickest mud I've seen since McNab!
I forgot how much I like riding in the malelucas, and I dig the cool party camp in the middle. Awesome.
You have to love a spot with McDonalds five minutes away, and easy turnpike access. I figure since people were parking on 8th when I was leaving, the place is legal. ;) No signs anywhere.
Sadly, I see it is for sale, and any mudhole you can see houses from isn't got much time left..sure would make a most excellent South Florida mud park.
I have a bunch of pictures to post after I scrape the mud off my camera and me.

If the lake was easier to wash the bike in, it would be a five for sure!

I heard it is just a gray area....not completely legal...we'll see though!!!
Yea theres been houses there for like 5-6 years already.Also when your washing your bike make sure you put a couple of big rocks at the edge of the tires so your bike doesnt fall in.If anyone remembers a couple months back a guy on a banshee was washing of his bike and left it on neutrol or something and his bike slid right in.That place is fun but just watch out because it gets raided every once in a while.I used to be able to cross the street and be there but now I moved with my dad and have to drive like 5-10 minutes to get there.But Im staying over inmy aunts house this weekend and Im bringing my shee so ill be riding there every day this weekend
I love that place. It's good for sport bikes when dry, but when it's wet, we have trouble!!!
It's still fun to be out there, I just don't like how no one wears helmets and no one has flags...but it could be worse!

I love that place too. Ive been riding there since I was born practically. My dad and all them used to ride back before I was born during the age of atc`s. I remember before those houses it was huge. AHHH good times good times.
I was there on my banshee today.It was packed.It was awesome for sportbikes.I rode the trails the whole day by myself without getting stuck once.I was on a white/silver shee without the front grill or radiator cover.I love that damn place.Oh yeah The guys that I raced at the end of the day on a 03 LE.If your reading this PM me so we can ride sometime
I just got home again.
We had an AWESOME ride. We almost ran all the way out to the two canals, but we followed some other trails that led us back east before we got to them.
Lots of people. Even Miami 4x4 club was out there!!! Awesome time!
Im gunna go ride over there now for a little while.Im also going tommorow the whole day.Ahh I love my aunts house.Cant wait to move back around here.Ill be back in an hour.

well most park around the lake but you are gonna need a truck to drive in the rocky bumpy road but some park by sw 42 st bird road right on 157 ave.basically turnpike soth to sw 8 st then west to 137 ave then south till sw 26 st or 42 st your choice then west till 157 ave and your there go in by any opening you find or if you wanna come by krome go south and when you get to sw 8st were the casino is at make a left (east)then on 157 ave theres an entrace there and drive down to the lake

I just got back from my weekend and the external hard drive I use for pictures took a crap while I was gone. They seem to be all lost along with a freaking really killer video..sorry Tat4U.
Gonna go back Friday and make more. ;) I Think it might just be the usb case, so maybe later if I am lucky I will have them and the 230 gigs of music that was with em. :'(
since there is so much talk about it ill be out there sunday to see wat all the fuss is about.

Hey you should have been out there a couple weeks ago OMG it was perfect very muddy and wet yet not completely flooded.

The open area used to be just east of the rock road you take to get to the lake. you used to park right on the side of the road and have to mud back to the lake. Always made for a great swim hole once you got there.
And if we ever get some decent amounts of rain, the big trucks and buggies will head out there, to dig plenty of new holes to swallow the atv's

Great pictures man, and I like the truck. I'm real sorry I never made it out there before now. All the stuff I've had through the years would have been great out there. I never would have parked my mud truck if I knew that place was there like that.

I'm out there every weekend with 4 other bikes and we love it out there even if it hasn't rained u can still find nice mudholes and u can access dade corners through the trails only thing that sux is that the BBQ pit on 8th st won't serve u if u look like u've been on an ATV.

It's really really dry out there right now.
Me and matt (4x4matt, orange kfx) were out there doing 3rd and 4th gear trail runs. It was insane. So nice and dry, almost like sand.
We got all the way back almost to the two canals.
We'll be there friday, I'll be sporting some new mods like intake/exhaust/jet kit ;) Wanna race? just kidding!

Haha, thats what I was told.
Good thing McDonalds is so close. I can't believe they let me in. I had 3" of mud from head to toe. Left about 1/4 pound on the floor in front of the register.

I had so much fun doing doughnuts and drifting it should be illegal!! I did almost kill myself a few times. It was like being on ice for sure. The mud was awesome as well. I pulled an orange kfx out of the big pit by the front, I was hoping it was someone on here. We all had a blast. I'll be back soon. I hope it doesn't dry up too fast.

this place comes in waves... its cool for a year but then the 2wd bikes that cant hack the trails ride the hard pack and road and attract local fuzz. the area west of the lake belongs to s.f.w.m.d. they the ones that run every one off. my best advise to all of you that are going out there is, get there, unload, and get in the trails. fwc comes out and hassles the crowds that hang out around the lake. once you there and in the trails they dont care . and stay away from the trail that leads to the arches . micosukee just baught that property and their police are real pricks.

There werent giving tickets out there that I know of.I was looking over and it wasnt that packed.I was gunna go on my shee but I didnt have gas and wasnt going to take a chance wit 93
I was out Saturday. I did not see any police or FWC. I was told that FWC was on 8th street asking those people to leave. I was parked at the lake and when I left there were people still unloading Quads on 8th st. There were quite alot of people out there both loading and unloading. Doesn't mean that FWC wasn't there its just unlikely do to the number of people still there and no FWC or Cops any where.
Fat FWC guy giving warnings, I got one and my friend got one, he says the land owners and sfwm and FPL dont want anybody there, he said I could try locating the owners and asking for permission thus having a slip to ride there. Chances of getting permission I think would be like winning the lottery
WoW I was one of the lucky ones that didn't meet up with a FAT FWC. I'm going to risk it this Saturday anyway.

I didn't actually see the FWC guy but I was warned by a few other riders that he was parked by the lake. We parked on 8th and didn't have any problems. We'll be out there again Friday and possibly Sunday.
never heard or seen no one to give us trouble on a sunday,plus there was 200 atv on sundays or more

man this really blows. So now the FWC is giving people a hard time there too. Basically its all a matter of luck wether you run into these guys out there or not. Yes the humps are still open but they are really wet. Not good ridding for sport quad really the only places to ride are the dirt roads.
well like i said if you have bikes that can get through the trails then you shouldnt worry about fwc. DONT HANG OUT NEAR THE ROADS OR PARKING AREA. once your in they cant and wont hassle you. that brings us back to sport bike not being able to ride the trails so they are a better target for fwc or who everelse is out there giving warnings.
