What's up. New to the central FL area. I raced strictly TT and flat rack where I came from. This looks like the right place for me to get info for some local racing.

 I am a drag racer, So, If I can say that. You know they are Good ;)

Yeah, I checked out your site. I was reading about the race on Sunday. It's in the Tampa area right? How many really fast, A class type guys are there, 40-50? Is there a gambler or open money class? My hauler and quads are supposed to arrive sometime tomorrow, and I'm jonesing for some racing, flat track or TT, I don't care.
I'm in the Ocala/Citrus County area. I moved here from the midwest for my wife, and I'm not digging it so far. I went and checked out the track in Ocala today (I had to jump the fence, shhhh). I might run that Saturday night as well. I talked to a guy named Brian who was riding at the MX place next door. He said he races a lot of flat track with you guys. He seemed like a goof, so I don't know if he was shooting me straight or not.

   We dont race for $$, that seems to bring out the worst in people. We race for thropies and end of the year points.
If i remember right we have 55ish total members. Its good your in Ocala, Brady has a very nice track there. He might give you an earfull for jumping his fence though.. o ya hes on this site too. LOL ;D just make fun of his night club paisley shirt... (LOL!!!) Yes we know Brian, he races at the track there in Ocala but isnt a member of the league. Feel free to come watch Sunday. Im the fella in the hand cast.. >:(

Chris is right. Don't jump my fence, the gates are locked for a reason. Call the # on the sign, my cell # is on the answering machine. I'd be more than happy to talk with you or meet you there for you to look around. Brian is one of our local racers, he's a good guy, and a fast rider on a good bike. Why would you get on an open forum and talk smack about him, when you don't know him?

 As a sidenote, my kid pee'd on it the last time we were at Eastbay. I think he's trying to tell me something...

55-ish A class riders or total riders? I can see the lower classes not racing for $, but the pro riders don't want cash purses either?  That's kind of new to me. 

why does it got to be about money? why cant it be for fun?

Cause hes sloooooooooooow and can't be cool about losing. Having money involved makes it "acceptable" to be pissed about losing.

I will probably come race at the Tampa track as well. Do I need to join your club, or can I just race?

I'm hearing now that there's only a few fast guys to run with? A guy with a Banshee, a young kid, some guy from up north somewhere, and some MX guy. Is this true? 

Only you can judge whos fast and whos not....no, you dont need to join the league to race this weekend at Eastbay but its 30.00 race race rather than 25.00 if your a league member. You can race at Thunderbowl sat night, consider it practice.... The Open class will be at Eastbay Sunday.  You better have your A game on, Eastbay is a very fast track. ;D

$30.00 to race, not too bad. Why is the Thunder place "practice"? No fast people there either? Dang, I might have to go back up north or switch back to MX to get some competition.

By the way, I only have an "A" game. Go ahead and get my trophy ready.

I'll be there on Sunday. I'll be watching the weather to see what's up with the rain I guess. I don't really care to drive 2 hours to race your fast guys, since there's only a few, but I guess it's better than sitting around the house. Maybe I'll bring a stock bike so it's fair for you guys. We'll see.

 

Sense the topic is "New Guy looking for info" Here is a little for you... Some of us Flat trackers here in Florida are kind of slow so you might want to pack up and go back home to get some better competition.
If you want to race for fun and braggin rights, bring your rookie butt to East Bay and see if you can hang with some of us slow pokes. If you can ???  then get back on here and talk smack. But until you do your just another key board racer.. :-*

What I mean by that is, Ocala doesnt have a Open class when the league inst there. Im ASSUMING there wont be many quads there Sat night if there is a league race Sunday morning. Plus this Sat isnt a points night for Ocala.
So you might be going there to practice...

Drinking and racing around me will get you a free trip to the ER.

Re-read the post you ignorant toof-less hillbilly. I've been a nationally ranked rider for 10 years, I wouldn't hurt another rider intentionally. BUT, if you think you're going on the track with me after a few cocktails, beers, a joint, etc., then guess what: I'm takin' your stupid drunk a$$ out, plain and simple. If you get hurt in the process, tough luck. Don't race if you're not "straight". 

So far this afternoon you've had burrito's and popcorn, and lord knows what else. How can you still be hungry lunchbox?

if your like you said a nationally ranked rider then why are you talking smack you should be more professional than this and show up on sunday and show us what a pro is like Ive met some pros and they weren't like you really friendly and would go out of their way for you not be on hear smack talking be a pro and walk away see ya sunday !

Man don't take this the wrong, With an attitude like you had here to introduce yourself, not one soul here gives 2 toots whether this is your first race or your a Godlike rider. No one will think more, or less of you if you have ran one race or 10,000 races. Respect is earned by ATTITUDE and sportsmanship. I don't care how good of a rider you are, I'm a better racer then you are because I don't right off the bat start dissin and talking sh*t to and about people I've never met before. There is light and good hearted smack talk and then there is being a d!ck.

I think I speak for everyone here when I say that I would rather leave home 4 in the morning, shake hands and laugh with my friends at the track, have the race rained out and drive 5 hours back home then to spend 1 lap on the track with the best rider in the world that had a depreciating behavior like yours. Some "Professional" racer you are, that does not understand even this most basic concept of commonality.

Have fun flat tracking in the back yard around the family clothesline cause thats where your headed.

 I would have to say, that this is someone everybody knows, FLAPPIN at the mouth just trying to get something going.

Oh, one more thing. I have noticed that anyone in racing who runs their mouth like you have, 1) either cant hang, or 2)needs to get it done at the track before all the "smack" talk.

I was working at the track this morning, when guess who? stopped by for a visit.
Our friendly new trash talker! He came pulling in a red Hummer H-1 to look at the track and chat for a minute. I knew it was  him because he had his black wife with him. He seemed like a nice enough guy in person, but that's just my observation. He may really be a d*@khead, who knows? He did mention he was thoroughly enjoying screwing with you guys. He said he might come back tonight to watch the races. I asked him about racing at Eastbay, but he never would give me a straight answer yes or no. Just thought you guys would like to know.

PS- If he does show, you can't miss him. He does have the red Kenworth hauler(I saw a picture), plus he's like 6'9" & in the 300lb range...with like a 32" waist no less, and LOTS of tatoos. Like I said, it would hard to miss this fella. 

Sounds like just about the right azz whoopin size to me. Its gonna be a long fall from 6'9". >:D
