Title: Does anybody know George Babor ?
Post by: KB on April 09, 2007, 01:45:30 PM
Has anyone heard of a guy named George Babor ? He use to have a motorcycle shop in Pinellas but moved to Brooksville.
I installed, then sanded and finished Hardwood Floor's in his house(in Brooksville), they looked beautiful.
He has a shop w/ a dyno room, machine room, & ofc. (real professional)
Anyway's we bartered some of the work to restore my 86 CR500, this was 2 years ago.
I remember 'cause it was just before Thanksgiving & he wanted his floors done before then cause he had family coming in from N.Y. & wanted floors done to impress them I guess.(so actually it's been 2 1/2 yrs)
I call him every couple months & he say's he's having a hard time finding part's, I finally told him the parts are cheap & easy to order from Service Honda. Last time I talked to him I let him know how I was feeling & he said "if you were a fly on the wall you'd understand"
My friend told me he put a pair of header's on some guy's Harley & the guy wrecked, got a DUI, & know he's suing George Babor saying the reason he wrecked is 'cause a pipe fell off the bike. Accident happened before i even met him but took the drunk a couple yrs. to beat the DUI so now he can sue Babor.
George has kids he's a family man, he puts them 1st. He has a sticker on his truck & trailer that says R.F.C. Racing.(racing for Christ)
It sucks what's happening to him but the drunk's lawyer doesn't care about that, just $$$.
I'm not trying to throw him under the bus, I been real patient, I just want my bike back.
If anyone knows him tell him to read this please.
                                                                       Thanks, Kelly B.

thank's guy's,
Troy I know you knew him. y'all go way back. Like I said in my 1st post he's a good guy, I like him ,but 2 1/2 yrs. is B.S.
He has lost his father recently & I know that hurts , I lost mine when I was 5, he was 32. Life go's on.
Most people would get pissed after 2 1/2 month's. I been waiting 2 1/2 yrs.
He is a Professional, again I'm not trying to throw him under the bus, I just want my bike back, i forgot what it looks like.
Me, myself would be glad to give that drunk somethin to really sue about.
My friend tell's me it's costing George 2,000.00 a month on an attorney that Say's it's not looking too good for him.

Maverick, could you please tell George to read this.

I know he's loving his floor's, don't know if you seen them, I did what I was suppose to do, he should do the same.
parts can be bought from Service Honda or even Moose.

                                                                                  Thanks guy's,
                                                                                                      Kelly

George called me last night. Said he's getting ready to take the family to the Loretta Lynns races.
He's been working on my CR & basically said he's totally restoring it, almost done, he put a little groove in the cylinder(de-compression) to make it easier to start. All new factory plastics & tank.
Said he's been going thru a lot lately. It was nice to hear from him.
I can't believe what this drunk guy is putting him thru, it's B.S.
He was given a DUI,fought it for years, beat it & saying it's Georges fault his bike went down.
It has to happen to the good people, not a place like that cycle shop I hear about in Pasco that deals w/ stolen bikes.

George is good people, good mechanic, has a hell of a shop too.
