Post by: snowmanzz13 on April 03, 2007, 10:31:09 PM well, we finally got a 04 motor in our 700 sportsman, and well, it ran for a little while and started flashing that it was over heating and you can shut it off and let it sit and touch the motor and have it cool to the touch and try to fire it up and says it's over heating, any ideas? i can swear i read a post somewhere of the same issue but have no such luck on finding it

Remove the radiator cap when cool & see if the water blows out when you turn motor over, if not, impellar is bad. I had a radiator go bad from sitting on an older cr250r. It corroded up inside.
