Title: Honda done making 2-strokes after 2007 Post by: jeremy retzsch on November 12, 2006, 10:20:36 AM I just read in dirtbike magazine that after 2007 Honda will no longer be making 2-stroke motocross or off-rode dirt bikes.

Due to recent changes in emission regulations in order for a 2 stroke to pass it hase to run alot cleaner then in the past. So they would have invest $$ in R&D to see if they could make one pass. Even then if the motor cant make enought power (which it probally wont) all the money spent was a waste.

Title: Re: Honda done making 2-strokes after 2007 Post by: Fox17 on November 12, 2006, 07:36:17 PM with everyone goin to 4 strokes and the goverment regs. they wont be making them any more. soon NO one will. they have talked bout banning the production of the 2 stroke anything (boat motor, cycle, everything). heck they make 4 stroke weed-eaters now. the crf150r was the nail in the coffin basically. 2 years there will be no production of them.
