Title: Re: bike???? Post by: klutchbuster400 on May 12, 2006, 05:52:57 PM well how many trips do you plan on taking it to river ranch, and to the track, z's are about as good as a 450r on the track if you know how to ride it, and the z has reverse, which would come in handy on the trials. but man are those 450r's pretty sweet. If youre going to ride at rr more, i would take the z.

Post by: klutchbuster400 on May 12, 2006, 10:20:42 PM i dont have the money 4 a ltr and reverse would be nice but i cand do w/o it they are powerful, but cows, i like to think of them as cows on steriods, fast, powerful, but heavy. A few buds of mines have one. they happen to get stuck in the mud more often just because of that.what bout the raptor 660???? Title: Re: bike???? Title: Re: bike???? Post by: fdatv on May 14, 2006, 12:57:15 PM How much do u think i can get 4 a 2001 warrior in great shape w/ some mods??
Title: Re: bike???? Post by: TRX450R_Racer on May 14, 2006, 02:30:08 PM I would NOT buy a 2005 or a 2006 Z400 because of the problems with the clutch cover corroding away. The only way I would buy one is if the dealer put a 2004 cluych cver on iy before I took it home.

Raptor 660 Specs. http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/products/modelspecs/46/0/specs.aspx Z400 Specs. http://www.suzukicycles.com/Products/LTZ400K5/Specs/Default.aspx 398 = Raptor 372 = Z400 ____________ 26 lb. difference is not alot, and the power more than enough makes up for it. There is also no way a stock Z400 is as fast as any stock 450 on the track either.... It is your choice, all are great choices but the Z or Raptor would be more all around, while the 450 is a refined MX/Trail quad. Title: Re: bike???? Post by: klutchbuster400 on May 14, 2006, 05:38:07 PM actually, i find 20 pounds a big difference, try lifting the front end of a rappy, and then the same to a z, you'll notice its way easier to lift the z then it is a rappy, i dont know if its just me but i find twenty pounds a huge difference.
as for your warrior, im not sure how much you can sell it for, i have a pretty much stock 01 warrior in good shape, and may be able to get about 2k, maybe a lil less. Title: Re: bike???? Post by: fdatv on May 14, 2006, 05:47:55 PM thx 4 the replys

I understand where you are coming from, and 26 pounds is a pretty big difference, but not a crazy big difference. As I am 6'-3" and 260lbs. the 26 lb. difference doesnt really concern me, but thanks for helping me realize.... Title: Re: bike????
